TOURISM LECTURER

Centre: Ladysmith Campus 
Salary Notch:  PL1
 
Requirements:
  • Must be in possession of a Teaching qualification (B ED, NPDE-VT, ACE, PGCE), Degree/ Diploma in Tourism and proof of SACE registration
  • Teaching Experience at the TVET Sector as and added advantage.
  • Must be Computer literate.
  • Must be able to teach at least two additional subjects in the relevant programme
 
Subject allocated to this posts are:
  • Tourism
  • Client Services
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and learning delivery.
  • Student guidance and support.
  • Manage all academic and administrative activities in the classroom
  • Mark all assignments and tests for timeous return and meeting the deadlines.
  • Maintain a POA, POE and subject files in accordance with the college assessment  Policy 
  • Control and assessment of students files
  • Record keeping of student marks / competence and attendance in according with the policy.
  • Ensure adherence to syllabus.
  • Work with the Senior Lecturer or HOD in the division and with the Student liaison officer for academic and other support required by students.

NOTE:  The successful candidate’s appointment will be subject to a security clearance process and the verification of educational qualification certificates.
