Mkhondo Municipality, which is a gateway to the Province of Mpumalanga from Kwa-Zulu Natal and Swaziland, seeks to appoint highly motivated self-starters and visionaries to the extremely challenging positions of:

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
(3 Years) National Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering Transportation or any relevant equivalent qualification.
Eligible to be Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or Applicable Body
3-4 Years relevant experience
A Valid Driver’s License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
Must have good eyesight
Must have Good listening skills
Be physical fit
Good Supervision skills
Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and competent specifications, and material quantities, using calculator or computer.
Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Read and review project blue print and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.
Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable.
Plan and conduct field surveys to locate new sites and Analyse details of project sites.
Develop plans and estimate costs for installation systems, utilization of facilities, or construction of structures.
Report maintenance problems occurring at project site to supervisor and negotiate changes to resolve system conflicts.
Conduct materials test and analysis, using tools and equipment, and applying engineering knowledge.
Establish internal systems to standard processes.
Analyse specific issues to be fed into strategy making processes
Analyse proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate finding.
Ensure that sector policies and procedures exist is, that is in line with water and sanitation regulations.
Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable.

Remuneration: Level 4 (R388 058 pa excluding benefits)
