The successful candidate will be responsible for developing video content, managing photography and podcasts, supporting live streaming, and contributing to broader content strategy and brand initiatives.
Job description
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Video Production and Photography:
- Develop and edit promotional, event, and video content for internal and external use.
- Capture and edit high-quality photographs for use across Mintek platforms.
- Support the live streaming of internal and external events.
Digital Content Management:
- Maintain and curate Mintek’s multimedia content catalogue, ensuring accessibility and brand consistency.
- Archive and organise digital assets in line with Mintek’s governance standards.
Podcast and Broadcast Production:
- Record, edit, and produce audio content such as podcasts, including sound design and mixing.
- Provide technical support and direction for live video and audio broadcasts.
Content Design and Development:
- Design engaging visual content for social media, internal communications, and corporate publications.
- Ensure all content aligns with Mintek’s visual identity and brand guidelines.
Content Strategy and Innovation:
- Assist in devising innovative multimedia strategies that enhance user engagement across channels.
- Research trends in multimedia communication and proactively suggest new tools, platforms, and content formats.
Support to Brand and Marketing Initiatives:
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute ideas to support brand growth.
Minimum requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia, Video, Film and Photography, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio showcasing original video, photography, and design work.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in multimedia production or content creation.
- Experience in a marketing, communications, or agency environment is advantageous.
- Competency in multimedia tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Envanto and Renderforest).
- Familiarity with editing tools and live broadcasting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to operate on both PC and Mac platforms.
- Understanding of the corporate social media landscape.

Introduction
Mintek has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer based in the Process Design Group within the Biometallurgy Division and will lead commercial and research projects in heap leaching of low-grade base and precious metal resources. The role requires providing technical leadership in process development, innovation, and scale-up, while leading complex, integrated projects and mentoring junior staff to ensure effective delivery and impact.
Job description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Lead and oversee complex laboratory, pilot, and demonstration-scale test work for chemical
- and biological heap leaching systems.
- Drive research and innovation, contributing to the development of new technologies and,
- methodologies in line with the Group’s focus areas.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior Engineers / Scientists / Technicians,
- supporting skills development and succession planning.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality technical reports, client deliverables, and presentations.
- Initiate, develop, and lead proposals for commercial work and research funding, including
- strategic input and client engagement.
- Contribute to business development, including client interaction and identification of new
- opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements, laboratory protocols, and data governance
- standards.
- Responsible for key process equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal utilisation,
- maintenance, and development.
Minimum requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (with a BSc(Eng) or BEng undergraduate degree).
- A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in hydrometallurgy, bioleaching, or heap leaching
- including process development and management of complex commercial and research projects.
- Strong understanding of chemical and microbiological processes in heap leaching.
- Proven track record in attracting research funding (e.g. state grant, contract research, or similar
- funding mechanisms).
