The Council seeks to make the following appointment.
 
 
ICT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT – REF: ICTS/10/2023 (PERMANENT). 
The incumbent will report to: ICT Manager
REMUNERATION PACKAGE PER ANNUM: R 506 556.60 NEGOTIABLE 
 
Job Purpose
The responsibility of the IT infrastructure support shall be to provide infrastructure technical support, planning and advice regarding user requirements, network connectivity, system installation and administration, integration planning and testing, optimising and tuning of infrastructure architectures and technologies, enhance network security and applications systems including the evaluation and test measurements, as well as offering in-depth desktop hardware and software support for infrastructure operations to all MHSC staff.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric or Equivalent
  • IT National Diploma / IT Degree
  • Additional
  • ITIL V3/Togaf 9/Cobit5
  • At least four (6) years in Microsoft Office, Hyper V, Vmare, Veeam backup solutions, Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Enterprise Project Management, windows environment backup, System Centre, and SQL environment, and Strong Windows Desktop Support experience.
 
Key performance areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: 
  1. Maintenance of the MHSC hardware and software environment
  2. Maintained local area network
  3. Maintained user hardware and software
  4. Secured servers
 
  1. Development and maintenance of MHSC web sites and internet connectivity
  2. Operational web sites & internet connectivity
  3. Ongoing website update
  4. Regular updates to the web pages done correctly as per instruction.
  5. Effective monitoring internet connectivity support.
  6. survey uploads
  7. reports on websites hit
 
  1. Development of software interfaces and distribution CD’s
  2. Developed software interfaces and CD’s.
 
  1. Plan and monitor own work and personal development plans
  2. Work and action plans fit in with given project or operational requirements
  3. All steps in the process are covered and thought through in terms of possible implications to other areas
  4. Monitor and continuously report progress against plan.
  5. Personal development plans are monitored and achieved.
 
  1. ADHOC SUPPORT
    • Provide support to IT specialist as required.
    • Telephone Support and administration
    • ITSC Administration (Minutes taking, organizing meeting and preparing Packs)
    • Printer Support and administration.
    • Website updates and uploads.
    • Website Committee management (Minutes taking, organizing meeting and preparing Packs.
    • AD Administration
    • MS Exchange administration
    • SCM (Drafting ToR for IT).
    • Administration of access points

SECURITY OFFICER REF: SO/10/2023
The incumbent will report to: Security and Risk Manager
 REMUNERATION PACKAGE PER ANNUM: R418 232,13  NEGOTIABLE.
 
Job Purpose
Ensure implementation of MISS document as required by cabinet for all public entities. Also, to ensure physical security of MHSC assets
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric
  • Grade A security qualification
  • National Certificate in Security Management
  • Registration with the Security Officers Board is essential.
  • At least 4 years’ experience of office security.
 
Key performance areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of authorized persons.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
  • Assisting in investigations pertaining to all security issues.
  • Notify management of any impending threat to the general safety, security at MHSC.
  • Coordinate and implement the total security and facilities functions.
  • Develop and enhance security policies and procedures to meet changing circumstances.
  • Identify all risks and threats to the security of the organisation, as well as vulnerabilities in the organisation’s capacity to counter, based on security planning.
  • Coordinate the investigation of security matters with various law enforcement agencies at local levels, whilst developing and maintaining liaison with these agencies to ensure prompt response to the organisation’s needs.
  • Implement health and safety and full fill the role of health and safety officer within the organisation.
