Requirements: • Relevant B Com Degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management • 3 years related experience • Must be able to work under pressure • Computer literate • Code B driver’s license.
 
Duties: • Manage every aspect of the purchasing of equipment, materials, and products for the MTC • Ensure payments are generated correctly and timeously for all items below R200 000 • Ensure that relevant documentation is submitted promptly for payment generation • Manage record keeping of receipts, tracking numbers and inventory counts for audit purposes • Maintain backups of all records for safekeeping • Conduct a follow-up with the business unit receiving the service to ensure that the service delivered is of a satisfactory level • Development and Implementation of sound Policies and Procedures in line with Procurement Strategy • Manage the list of prospective suppliers per commodity type and/ or service • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers 
• Track orders and sign off when the supplies arrive and log/ record the information accordingly • Manage the development; maintenance and utilisation of the supplier database ensuring suppliers are rotated accordingly. • Manage the due diligence checks on service providers verifying past services offered/ conducted by the service provider • Provide service level agreements to service providers • Partake in issue and non-compliance resolutions with service providers • Assist in facilitating the process of contract signing • Manage the strategy and process around SMME / BBBEE suppliers

Criteria Questions
1. Do you have a relevant BCom degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management?
2. Do you have 3 years related experience in a public sector environment in the Supply Chain Management department?
3. Do you have knowledge of public sector SCM regulations (MFMA/PPPFA/MSCM etc?)
4. Do you have knowledge of the entire SCM process from start to finish
