SHORT TERM CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT - (STC)
 
Metro Trading Company has the following short-term contract opportunities for a period NOT exceeding six (6) months.
 
Department: Metropolitan Trading Company (MTC)
Position: ICT Chief Architecture (STC)
Salary Range: Market Related Salary
Division or Cluster: Operational Director
Reports to: GM: Network Operations
Workplace: Braampark
 
 
Educational Requirements and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in information technology solutions architecture role
 
Experience and competency
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Broad understanding of information technology
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
• Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs
• Proficiency with information technologies in a secure network environment
 
 
Short Detailed Job Description:
• Analyze current technologies used within MTC and determine ways to improve solutions
• Interact with other IT and network professionals within the company to ensure that best practices are adopted
• Propose and establish enterprise architecture framework
• Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
• Provide detailed technical specifications for proposed solutions
• Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs and objectives
• Establish an IT Architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology.
• Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
• Develops and executes solutions which further reduce cost
• Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
