The merSETA is the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Education and Training Authority established through the Skills Development Act. This SETA encompasses the metal and engineering, auto manufacturing, motor retail, tyre manufacturing and plastics industries.

We have excellent opportunities for the following professionals to join Client Services Division:
TEMP CLIENT LIAISON ADMINISTRATOR (B5) X10
SALARY R24 818.85 pm
FIXED TERM CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS

Prime Focus: The Client Liaison Administrator will provide comprehensive administration, secretarial support and coordination services to the regional office, central administration and regional stakeholders so as to ensure that training and development initiatives in the region are appropriately facilitated.
Duties include:
1. Implement administrative procedure and system required to facilitate all learning programs including apprenticeships, learnerships, skills programs, learners and grants according to laid down processes and procedures as defined by criteria.
2. Ensure provision of high level quality services to clients and stakeholders as and when required, which includes but not limited to. • Providing necessary and requested information to clients.
• Providing information and advice on all merSETA services, processes and initiatives/projects, Legislative issues, grant processes or status.
• Responding to queries from Companies, Client Liaison Officers and Coordinators.
• Responding to and solve queries related to quality assurance, trade test results certification and grant issues.
3. Carry out all administration processes
4. Providing a support services to all merSETA divisions, enterprises, other Seta’s, Department of Higher Education and Training, SARS and all other identified client categories relating to administrative processes.
5. Responsible to liaise with decentralised trade test centres to ensure that all trade tests related issues are dealt with.
Qualities, experience, knowledge and skills required:
• NQF Level 6 in Business Administration/ Office Administration or related field
• At least 1 year of working experience in an Administrative position preferably in a service/customer-orientated environment
• High level verbal communication skills
• Typing and Clerical skill with high level of attention to detail.
• Computer literacy with solid knowledge of Ms Word, Excel, Outlook and Database.
• A service and customers care orientation- Previous customers focus experience would be beneficial
• Knowledge and understanding of Skill Development Legislation

Salary Level (Min. to Mid): R527 299,31 – R622 212,57 pa FIXED TERM CONTRACT ALIGNED TO THE SETA LICENCE TERM
Gauteng South Regional Office
Purpose: To facilitate and implement the merSETA Client Services strategy to ensure that a high level of client satisfaction is achieved, as well as to increase and improve the level of training and access to training in order to promote skills development and to redress imbalances.
Duties: The duties will include but not limited to the following:
1. Guide and support companies to develop, implement and monitor mandatory grants.
2. Support enterprises to comply with merSETA quality assurance and workplace approval policy to meet SAQA requirements.
3. Manage, promote and support participation in training partnerships and learning interventions according to set and agreed regional and individual targets.
4. Monitor all learning interventions to ensure continuous progress, guide and support employers where gaps have been identified.
5. Promote and support participation in merSETA project initiatives and services.
6. Plan and manage moderation of trade testing and assessments from time to time.
7. Support capacity building initiatives.
8. Prepare and submit reports to Client Relationship Manager.
9. Identify support and market:
• In the development of best practice kits and packs
• Sustainable community based programmes including rural and farm areas
• Providers where there is need.
• BBBEE
10. Build and develop relationships with all stakeholders in the region.
11. Assist companies in all categories to claim mandatory grants.
12. Identify suitable companies to participate in discretionary grants as per prescribed criteria including but not limited to recommendation of discretionary grant funding and implementation of MoA’s.
Qualities, experience, knowledge and skills required:
• A minimum of Matric plus relevant NQF4 within technical environment.
• Technical Acumen
• An artisan certificate will be an advantage
• ODETDP Certificate (NQF 5) or Business Management or, Technical Diploma plus knowledge of relevant legislation will be an added advantage.
• At least three years experience within a training/learning environment with some direct training experience.
• Customer Service/ Marketing experience will be an added advantage
• Monitoring, Evaluation and Verification experience will be an added advantage
• Mediation/Arbitration/Conflict Management experience will be an added advantage
• Computer Literacy
• Excellent Time Management
• Be able to work on his/her own as well as in a team
• Project management skills
• Attention to detail
• High level of accuracy
• Presentation skills
• Knowledge of industry
• Ability to compile reports and problem-solving skills
• High level of verbal and written communication skills

• A valid driver’s licence
• Must have own legally registered transport in good condition
