POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
(HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND
ENTREPRENEURSHIP)
One-Year Fixed Contract
 
Key Performance Areas:
• Engage in collaborative research projects alongside academic staff members, leveraging your expertise in Human Resource management, Strategic management, and Entrepreneurship.
• Publish a minimum of 2 manuscripts per year in reputable journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings in this field.
• Contribute to the preparation of research papers for publication in prestigious journals (peer-reviewed journals) and presentations at leading academic conferences.
• Participate in departmental seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary research initiatives to foster intellectual exchange and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Assist in mentoring and guiding graduate and undergraduate students, sharing your knowledge and experience to nurture the next generation of Human resource professionals.
• Involvement in initiating and managing research projects.
• Pursue independent research projects that align with the department's focus areas and contribute to its academic reputation.
• Draft grant applications in this broad research area.
 
Minimum Requirements:
• A recently earned PhD in Human Resource Management, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. At the time of the award, the candidate should have graduated with his/her doctorate degree no longer than within the previous five years.
• International Postdoctoral Research Fellows must have a long-term visitor’s visa endorsed for academic activities affiliated with MUT (Section 11(1)(b) Visitors Visa)
• At least 2 published journal papers in the last 24 months.
• Has not held full-time permanent academic or professional employment.
• Established track record of publications and conference contributions related to the outlined research areas.
 
Competencies:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Physiological skills/techniques.
 
 
Stipend: R300 000.00 per annum (tax-exempt)

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT OF SURVEY AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
LECTURER (P8) X 2
 
Key Performance Areas:
• Lecturing and assessment of students.
• Perform academic administrative duties.
• Contribute to the research undertaken by and within the department and the faculty including research projects supervision.
• Liaise with industries and community and participate in community-based projects.
• Participate in curriculum and learning materials development.
• Coordination of modules.
• Participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
• Perform other duties delegated by the HOD.
 
Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Three (3) years of lecturing at a University level
• Evidence of research experience
Recommendations:
• Registration toward a Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering will be a strong advantage.
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
 
Competencies:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good technical or professional knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills.
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
Salary Scale: Salary Scale: R464 880.00 – R717 852.00 (P8) basic salary per annum.
Benefits: 13th cheque, housing subsidy, pension, group life, medical aid, and study grant.

• Registration towards a Doctoral degree in Surveying/Geomatics will be a strong advantage.
• Registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC).
 
Competencies:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good technical or professional knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills.
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
