STADIUM EXECUTIVE MANAGER

GRADE 19 

 

Purpose of the position: 

Reporting to the CEO, the NMB Stadium Executive Manager is the primary commercial and strategic driver of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The position is responsible for transforming the stadium into a commercially vibrant, self-sustaining, and world-class facility by leading commercial development, revenue diversification, and high-impact stakeholder partnerships. The incumbent serves as the face of the stadium to sponsors, commercial partners, sporting bodies, and event promoters, and leads all commercial, operational, financial, and people management functions within the NMB Stadium. 

 

Key Performance Areas of the role: 

1.     Commercial Development and Revenue Generation. 

2.     Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management. 

3.     Strategic Planning and Precinct Development. 

4.     Financial Management 

5.     Operations Management. 

6.     Facilities Management 

7.     Leadership and People Management 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

1.     Bachelor's degree / Diploma (NQF 7) in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Sports Management, Economics, or equivalent. 

2.     A relevant post-graduate qualification (NQF 8 or above) will be advantageous. 

3.     National Treasury MFMA minimum municipal competency qualification (or obtainable within period of appointment). 

4.     Valid driver's licence and reliable transport. 

5.     Minimum of 10 years public/private sector experience, of which 5 years must be at management/strategic level in a similar commercial or stadia management role. 

6.     Proven track record in securing commercial partnerships, sponsorships, and/or major events. 

7.     Experience in financial management and budget oversight. 

8.     Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
