Recommendations:
- 3 years post qualification industrial workplace experience in the relevant trade.
- 2 years’ experience in facilitation/ training for Apprenticeships / Learner ships
- Appropriate Professional Education Qualification
- Knowledge of Outcomes Based Education and Training with reference to Apprenticeships / Learner ships.
- Trained Assessor and/or Moderator
- Experience in design and development of learning material, facilitation guides, lesson guides and assessment tools.
- Knowledge of SAQA, NQF, Skills Development Act, FET Act and Learnerships.
- Excellent Communication and Verbal delivery skills
- Computer Literacy (MS Office)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitation of Courses for Civil Trades – with focus on carpentry (CBMT & Outcomes – based ETD for apprenticeships and learnerships).
- Assessment and Moderation of Learner output (Theory & Practical Tests & Assignments).
- Management of Learner Achievements, Reports, Records, Evidence & Attendance, including POE’s
- Develop Learner & Facilitator Guides for New Courses and Update Existing Learner Guides.
- Service & Maintain all Learning and Teaching Equipment and Machinery in a designated workshop to ensure 100% availability.
- Keep up to date with latest developments in Industry and ETD.
- Develop and equip new courses, relevant to your trade, as required by industry

A completed New Z83 form (available on the Majuba College website) should be accompanied by a recently updated comprehensive CV (inclusive of three contactable referees and contact details). Applicants must also submit copies of all relevant documents including all qualifications, statement of results, identity document and driver’s license (where appropriate). These copies NEED NOT be certified when applying for the post.
