INVITATION FOR NOMINATIONS FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS AT LEPHALALE TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING(TVET) COLLEGE IN TERMS OF SECTION 10(6) OF THE CONTINUING EDUCATION AND TRAINING(CET) ACT 16 OF 2006(AS AMENDED).
Four (4) external positions are available on the Council of Lephalale TVET College.
Requirements are as follows:
The potential candidate should -
i. should have participated in TVET and/ other governance structures;
ii. be at a senior or executive management level at current employment;
iii. have a senior degree or be an expert in the field of expertise.
Fields of expertise:
a. Human Resources Management
b. Legal Resource Planning
c. Financial Management
d. Audit and Risk Management and / Information Technology

INVITATION TO SERVE AS AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE MEMBER (X4)
Lephalale TVET College calls for applications from suitable qualified and interested individuals to serve as Audit and Risk Committee members.
TERM OF OFFICE AND REMUNERATION PACKAGE:
Audit and Risk members not holding executive office in the College or not employed in the public service, shall be remunerated for their services based on Department of Higher Education and Training guidelines. The term of office will be as per council resolution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A BCom Degree/Honours in Accounting/Auditing or Risk Management.
- At least five (5) years executive experience gained in the field of accounting, auditing, and risk management.
- Possession of a CA (SA), CIA, CISA, CFE, CIMA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in Corporate Governance and Financial Management
- Knowledge and understanding of the internal and external auditing processes.
- Knowledge and experience in Information Technology will be an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Internal Audit function.
- Review the annual financial statement
- Oversee the risk management and governance processes
- Report to Council on internal and external audit and on any requirements relating to the Audit and Risk functions of the College.

Education Specialist: Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy (PL2) *Ref: leptvet 04/2024

*Salary: R412 551 per annum plus benefits
*Permanent (Persal Appointment)
Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized three (3) year Diploma/ Degree or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7 majoring in Mathematics. *A recognized Teacher’s qualification. *A minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching Mathematics. *Sound knowledge of TVET Sector. *Must have a sound knowledge of NC (V) learning programmes. *Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning and execution, ability work independently and under pressure. *Must be a qualified Assessor and Moderator. *Computer Literacy. *Valid SACE Registration and Driver’s Licence.
Responsibilities: *Planning of the work allocation in the division and assist with compilation of the Campus time table. *Manage the performance of lecturers in the division. *Monitoring of PoAs, Subject Files, PoEs and class attendance of students and lecturers. *Manage and control submission of assessment tasks, students’ marks (including verifications) and ICASS marks as per the academic plan of the College and DHET. *Assist with student registrations and inductions. *Set and moderate assessment tasks, check the quality of assessments tasks administered in the division. *Compile own PoA, Subject File and other related documentation. *Supervise marking and moderation of internal and external examination scripts. *Compile and submit reports as and when required. *Monitor and supervise staff. *Perform any other duties attached to the post.

Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized National Diploma/ Degree in Management Assistant/ Office Management and Technology/Public Management at NQF Level 6/7. *Relevant teaching qualification. *Assessor and Moderation certificates will be an added advantage. *Good communication skills, organizing, good administrative skills, ability to plan and deliver lessons. Ability to engage the students in a professional manner as well as promoting a conducive learning environment. *Computer literacy and must have a valid SACE Registration.
Responsibilities: *The successful candidate will be expected to teach Office Administration related subjects of the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Programme from Level 2 to 4. *Prepare lesson plans and teach students in compliance with the College Annual Academic Plan, Time- Table and College Quality Management System. *Assess, mark and record attainment of the students in compliance with College policies and procedures. *Monitor students’ performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner. *Create conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and students’ discipline.

Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering. *Trade Certificate as an Electrician will be an added advantage. *Relevant teaching qualification. *Assessor and Moderation certificates will be an added advantage. *Good communication skills, organizing, good administrative skills, ability to plan and deliver lessons. Ability to engage the students in a professional manner as well as promoting a conducive learning environment. *Computer literacy and must have a valid SACE Registration.

Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized Degree/ National Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Financial Management/ Public Management or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7. *At least two (2) years working experience in Supply Chain Management or Asset Management environment. *Knowledge of Accounting System, asset disposal procedure, legislative framework governing the Public Service, Assets Management, Supply Chain policies, Department of Higher Education Mandate. *Computer literacy certificate/ computer as a subject. *Good communication and interpersonal relations skills. *Ability to work in a team and under pressure. *Attention to details, problem solving skills and communication skills. *A valid driver’s licence.
Responsibilities: *Coordination and recording of asset movement. *Asset disposal, Asset verification, Barcoding of existing and new assets. *Implementation of College Asset Management plan. *Coordination of receipt, processing and distribution of new assets. *Perform delegated functions.

Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized National Diploma/ Degree in Office Management and Technology/ Office Administration/ Public Management/ Management Assistant or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7. *Qualification in Social Science or Psychology will be an added advantage. *At least two (2) years working experience in Student Support Administration environment or related field. *Knowledge of PSET and CET Act. *Knowledge and understanding of electoral processes. *Knowledge of Teaching and Learning *Knowledge of career guidance and extra-curricular activities. Knowledge of National Student Financial Aid Scheme legislation. *Experience in participation of sports, arts and cultural activities will be an added advantage. Responsibilities: *Assist in providing the student support services. *Assist in implementing student work place and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) policies. *Render administrative services on career guidance, counselling and academic support for students. *Assist in implementing the sport, recreation, arts and culture programs for students in the campus. *Render administrative services for student governance, student leadership and exit support programme.

Minimum Requirements: *Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate plus a recognized National Diploma/ Degree in Financial Management/ Financial Accounting at NQF Level 6/7. *Relevant experience in finance environment. *Basic Knowledge of financial functions as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics. *Basic knowledge and insight of the public service financial legislations, procedures and treasury regulations (PFMA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA and financial manual). *Knowledge of basic financial operating systems (Pastel and Coltech) will serve as an added advantage. *Good communication skills, planning and organizing skills. *Computer literacy. *Ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities: * Receive invoices, check invoices for correctness, verification and approval (internal control), Process invoices (e.g. capture payments) and file all documents. *Process advices (e.g. check advices for correctness, capture salaries, bonuses, salary adjustments, capture all deductions etc). *Capture all financial transactions. * Clear suspense accounts. *Record debtors and creditors. * Process electronic banking transactions. *Compile journals.*Compare expenditure against budget. *Identify variances. *Capture, allocate virements on budgets. *Attend to any other duties delegated by the supervisor.
