Minimum Requirements
- LLB Degree or equivalent degree in Law.
- 2 years' experience in the legal industry.
- Knowledge of local government law will be an added advantage.
- Admission as an Attorney or Advocate will serve as an added advantage.
- Ability to represent the municipality in dispute resolution forum i.e. Disciplinary Tribunal, CCMA and Bargaining Council.
- Computer literacy
- The incumbent must have a driver's licence or must have a driver's licence within 12 months of employment
Key Performance Areas
- Manage the key performance area and indicate allocated to the Legal Division by providing legal advisor services, legislative drafting litigation management and contract drafting as well a Labour Relations.
- Manage and maintain the Municipal Code, Policy Register and Litigation Register.
- Supervise and oversee work done by external legal firms on behalf of the municipality in line with the applicable prescripts.
- Review and certify municipal contracts.
- Research and continuously advice the municipality on issues of compliance.

DEPARTMENT: TECHNICAL SERVICES
SUPERVISOR PUMP STATIONS

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or N2
- Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years' relevant experience post Trade Test
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Valid Driver's Licence – Code EB.
Key Performance Areas
- Monitoring and supervising activities of staff to ensure that work is performed according to work plan, job-cards and ad-hoc instructions received from superior and report on activities performed.
- Maintenance of all pumps and machinery at all treatment plants and pump stations.
- Monitoring and supervising utilization, application and maintenance of machinery, equipment, tools and material to ensure optimal work performance.
- Maintaining and constructing water distribution infrastructure to ensure effective and efficient control over the operation.
- Performing driver activities using a vehicle to ensure the transporting of machinery, equipment and people to and from the workplace
Salary: R 416,446.22 per annum

SUPERVISOR WATER AND SANITATION RETICULATION

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or N2
- Plumber Trade Test Certificate
- At least 5 years' plumbing experience post Trade Test
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Valid Driver's Licence – Code EB.
Key Performance Areas
- Read and record bulk meters
- Ensure the replacement of faulty meters is done
- Ensure that new water connections are done and information of water meter is submitted to BTO.
- Inspection and testing of new water services
- Minimize water losses by ensuring that water pipe burst, water meter burst and pipe leakages are repaired
- Ensure the maintenance of water pipes, valves, valve boxes, and hydrants are conducted
- Ensure that water supply is effective and sufficient by conducting regular inspection and require assistance
- Ensure Provision of water in rural wards
- Monitor delivery of water through water trucks
Salary: R 416,446.22 per annum
