CRANE TRUCK OPERATOR
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • ABET level 4 (Intermediate literacy and numeracy);
  • Must have Code EC driving license + PrDP;
  • Must have a Commercial driver's license
  • Certification of competency in the operation of the crane truck;
  • 12 Months Relevant Experience;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good supervisory skills;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Pass medical, drug and background check;
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa);
 
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
  • Required to work in all weather conditions
  • Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.
 
SALARY: R211 406.03 Per Annum
TASK: 7
 
DUTIES:
  • Establishing details of tasks (vehicle, materials and personnel);
  • Inspecting safety devices, controls, lubricant levels, etc on the crane truck and reports defects identified to the Foreman;
  • Observing and/ or participating in the loading/ offloading sequences of material and equipment and correcting deviations from safety procedures;
  • Transporting personnel, electrical material and equipment to/ from specific locations;
  • Communicating with the Supervisor and relevant personnel on site and confirming requirements/ specifications;
  • Driving and manoeuvring the crane truck and engaging controls to operate mechanisms to enable lifting/ hoisting and levelling sequences;
  • Monitoring overhead powerlines and other site personnel during the operation of the crane truck;
  • Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signs;
  • Keep and update maintenance and activity log;

FINANCIAL OFFICER: SALARIES
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant NQF Level 5 qualification with an Accounting background.
  • Computer Literacy – Office applications & Payroll system;
  • 1 Year relevant experience;
  • Sound knowledge on the use of payroll software and spreadsheets;
  • Sound knowledge of statutory deductions e.g. SARS, Dept. of Labour, Bargaining Council;
  • Sound knowledge of earnings and deductions
  • Attention to detail;
  • Statistics and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).
 
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Nil
SALARY:  R267 989.35  Per Annum.
TASK: 9
 
DUTIES:
  • Implements tasks/activities associated with processing and compilation of payroll/ salary information;
  • Processing payroll parameters/ fields on the system with regards to statutory deductions, rates of pay, transfers, etc;
  • Updating new engagements and terminations on the system;
  • Capturing salary and wage information for employees/ councillors against specific control votes and inserting required information with respect to benefits to activate deduction sequences;
  • Preparing and extracting payroll reports and proceeding with the printing of payslips upon approval;
  • Processing payments of Subsistence and Travel Claims.
  • Addressing queries related to deductions and allowances and provides explanations to calculations/adjustments based on information pertaining to benefit administration fund rules;
  • Extracting reports detailing allowances, overtime and stand by payments and submitting to the Payroll Administrator for perusal and circulation;
  • Responsible for capturing of Overtime and standby allowances;
  • Ensure absent days are captured on the system by reviewing attendance registers,;
  • Retrieving supporting documentation for queries resolutions;
  • Liaising with the Payroll Administrator on work processes and problems.
  • Communicating with officials and councilors on salaries queries and explanations;
