PURPOSE:
Manage the functioning of the flammable liquid and chemical stores to meet the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan the efficient use of space in the flammable and general stores. Ensure adequate stock level by placing orders for laboratory consumables timeously. Create a schedule for stock taking and Cardex system audits. Control access to the flammable and general stores. Control the issuing and receiving of stock. Control the delivery of gases. Receive goods /supplies into the stores and check delivery against the purchase order and the delivery note. Acknowledge receipt supplies by signing the delivery note and stamping for chemicals received. Accept internal order from staff and check against physical stock. Count stock quantities and record items that are below the re-order level. Capture stock movements into CARDEX system. Request quotations through Supply chain processes. Create a reservation on SAP and arrange for the collection of stock. Update system on a daily basis when issuing and receiving stock. Ensure cleanliness in the flammable and general stores. Ensure stock is packed correctly. Undertake quality audits according to the quality audit schedule. Investigate root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective action within stipulated timelines. Compliance to OHS Act.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and oversee the Pressure Management and maintenance activities of the UFW teams in the regions. Manage and ensure that water samples are taken and delivered to the laboratories for water quality analysis to ascertain whether leaks are resulting from the water reticulation system or ground water. SENIOR TECHNICIAN – REF: JW398EX/2024
REMUNERATION: R522 576 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
PURPOSE:
Responsible for the reduction of Unaccounted for Water with emphasis on commercial loss. Investigate and analyse meters and meter data (on-site and Management Information Services (MIS) studies). Identify meters to be changed as per the Johannesburg Water metering policy and control the Commercial Loss side of the projects. Monitor the Top 100 consumers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out a MIS survey to collect relevant information on the case and then carry out a proper investigation (done frequently as and when required). Inform the originator of the query in writing of the outcome of the investigation and make recommendations. Report all meter faults through the MIS to the relevant depot / contractor and follow up until it is solved. Analyse and interpret meter related data utilising various MIS. Download the information from the loggers onto a PC and interpret data. Initiate to CAPEX the request for a contract.
