Assist to remove bearing on the belt presser. Assist to change rollers from the belt presser. Assist to replace roller belt on the conveyor belts. Clean the workshop. Issue work tools to the Artisan Fitter. Inspect and report faulty machine to the Artisan. Demonstrate all safety precaution at the work station. Ensure that the V- Belts machines are in good condition i.e. Oil, Grease, Diesel, Hydraulic oil. Tighten the bolts of the machine. Service the tractors/lawn machine that cut the grass in various depots. Service all the machine in the plant. Clear and clean worksite after repairs/maintenance. MANAGER REMUNERATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE
Develop, implement and manage strategies, policies and procedures concerning payroll, remuneration and benefits and HRIS to ensure correct payment of salaries and third parties and the correctness of management reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement policies and procedures in respect of payroll, remuneration, conditions of service, job grading and the Human Resource Information system. Present and inform on a monthly basis, newly appointed staff members on conditions of service during formal induction sessions. Manage and maintain the operation/running of 3 payrolls for general & management staff members as well as pensioners. Manage and maintain a separate payroll on the SAP HR/PY system for the insourced employees paid via the City of Johannesburg payroll. Draw audit trial reports monthly in order to control and monitor input done on the SAP HR and payroll system and changes made on the SAP HR/PY system by consultants. Manage and verify that payment schedules and amounts are correct before authorisation, in order to ensure correct payment of salaries, third party payments and SARS payments by Finance. Manage the supply of information pertaining to remuneration and benefits during salary survey processes. Discuss and advise structuring of remuneration packages with all newly appointed managers including Executive management. Conduct ad-hoc remuneration package modelling & remodelling according to requirements from internal clients (management level — DI and above). Monitor and ensure correct implementation of job grading results and amendments of reporting structures as approved by the Managing Director. Manage, compare, interpret and submit ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly reports on overtime, absenteeism, man hours worked, standby, employment equity statistics, labour relations, staff movements, etc. to management, senior management and executive management. Implement and maintain software with regards to organizational reporting structures and specialised reports. Manage and control the creation of new positions. Initiate and manage the tender process for the award of the contract for maintenance support of the SAP HR/PY system every 3 years and Payroll Payment Services contract every 3 years. Participate in Bid Committees as and when required. Engage with third party organisations medical aids, Service Provider companies, Pension Funds, SARS, UIF, Consultants, etc). Identify needs regarding financial budget and provide input. Compiles budget annually. Manage the performance management process of the Payroll team in line with company policy.

• Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) Social Sciences/ Psychology/ Industrial Psychology or BTech (HR)
• 6 years’ experience in leadership and management of the Remuneration and Benefits function of which 2 must be in overseeing payroll management and Payroll SAP systems.
• At least 2 years in general SAP HR experience (that is other SAP modules other than Payroll).

PURPOSE
To be responsible for the supervision of all fabrication and welding related functions within the Networks division in accordance with (OHASA) and SANS codes of practice.
Supervise the daily operation of the Fennel depot Welding workshop.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and ensure the integrity of Network pipelines and associated equipment as per the request of the respective Regions by performing installation modifications and repairs to mains. Supervise medium to large scale pipeline projects for Networks regions. Pre-planning and site supervision of all work undertaken. Technical Support to Electro-Mechanical sections as well as regions of Johannesburg Water. Supervise the repairs, installation, and modifications to JW Reservoirs, pumpstations and depots, with regards to the boiler making and welding functions. Supervise the effective utilization of the centralized Welding Workshop by ensuring that the workshop buildings, machinery, and equipment are maintained in a good condition. Schedule and create works orders for all maintenance activities and ensure that they are closed off by the Admin Office. Design, manufacture and install specialized pipe fittings and pipes such as, but not limited to reducers, t-pieces, and spool pieces. Supervise and control overtime to within budget. Liaise with contractors on an adhoc basis to ensure that all outsourced work is completed within agreed timeframes. Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery of spares. Monitor and enforce safety requirements in the workplace. Ensure that all new employees are informed of and trained to the requirements of OHASA by carrying out risk assessments and on job assessments. Supervise and Control staff in terms of Conditions of Service. Identify job specific training and development needs in line with JW skills development plan. This will be done in consultation with the Ops Manager: Sewer Pumpstations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
• Grade 12 or N3 (NQF4) + Welding trade test certificate/Appropriate Learnership NQF 4
• 4 years’ experience relating to boiler making/fabricating and welding operations of which 1 year supervisory must be at supervisory level. Gas and arc welding experience compulsory
• Code EB driver’s license

ASSISTANT PROCESS CONTROLLER

RENUMERATION: R165 048– R223 284 SALARY PER ANNUM
PURPOSE
Assist the Supervisor with the daily operation of all wastewater treatment works in all physical activities. To maintain good housekeeping and safe working environment and to ensure compliance with the water use licence conditions, National Water Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in cleaning tanks by manually using spades and rakes to remove debris into solid waste bins. Clean the weirs of tanks with brooms. Assist in removing weeds and debris from the centre boxes and walls of tanks. Assist in cleaning disinfection tanks by removing. Settled sludge physically. Assist in general operations and maintenance. Assist in routine operational requirements. Report malfunction of equipment. Clean up sludge spillages by sweeping with brooms and loading it into solid waste bins. Assist with general operations and maintenance. Assist in routine operational requirements. Remove dry sludge from sludge drying beds manually for mechanical removal. Routine cleaning of offices, toilets facilities and change rooms. Routine cleaning of pump stations and working areas. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Clear and clean work area after malfunctions and spillages. Assist in general physical work when needed to ensure Work’s compliance with legislation and standards. Assist from time to time in planned team process controller activities involving projects to rectify non-compliances. Promote safety by immediately rectifying unsafe working conditions or equipment and reporting this to Supervisor. Follow instructions by Supervisors regarding Disaster Management plan. Operate and carry out all work within: the statutory requirements as laid out in the OHASA as per instructions from Supervisor. Wear and ensure proper use of PPE.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
• Grade 10 with Mathematics and Science or NTC 1 in Wastewater Treatment Practice or core unit standard from NQF 3 qualification in wastewater
OR
• Grade 11 with Mathematics or Science or NTC II in wastewater Treatment practice or NQF 3 in wastewater practice
OR
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (NQF 4)
• Registration as Trainee Process Controller
• 1 year general worker experience
• Knowledge of Basic Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace
