1. PROCESS MANAGER- REF: PM - JW352/2020 (NORTHERN WORKS) 
REMUNERATION: R803 280 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
To assist the Works Manager for the operation of the wastewater purification works such that all wastewater and associated sludge are treated and disposed of in compliance with Company’s policies and within the license condition as laid down in terms of the Water Act, at minimum cost and with full regard for the safety of employees. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Manage the operation of the treatment works so that the effluent produced complies with special standards as per Water Act and license conditions. In an event of non-compliance make required changes to improve quality of effluent, sludge treatment and disposal. Identify causes and put checks and procedures in place on process to prevent recurring non-compliance. 
Produce weekly and monthly reports on process operations and performance of works. Provide necessary information to internal and external auditors and follow up on reports and corrections required. Keep information on Works for Green Drop Assessments. Manage the sludge disposal daily to meet the requirements of the sludge disposal guidelines. Control cost on electricity, chemicals, overtime, fuel, vehicles etc. Comply with all criteria as set out in the OHASA act. Ensure maintenance of the plant. Assist with the investigation of alternative methods of operations and chemicals in order to achieve better results at reduced costs. Conduct regular procurement of resources to ensure cost effective and sustainable treatment operations. Assist with planning, executing and managing of all operations, shutdowns and breakdowns on the Works 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
Essential qualifications and experience: 
 National Diploma in Wastewater or Chemical Engineering or BSc in Life Science (NQF 6) 
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in Wastewater treatment environment of which 2 years must be in supervisory level 
 Must be a class V”5” Operator with Department of Water and Sanitation 
 Computer literate including SCADA System 
 Knowledge of OHASA 
 Valid Code EB driver’s license (Code 8)

PURPOSE
To provide a comprehensive HR support service to a Department. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Ensure the payroll input is completed accurately and within time-frames. Submit change of details forms to the Admin Officers. Compile and submit clearance documents to payroll section. Ensure that vacant position is vacant, funded and on the Organisational structure. Arrange and conduct interviews. Assist line management in the implementation of training needs. Complete and submit training request form. Consolidate, capture and submit PDP’s to training unit. Participate in disciplinary and grievance hearings. Capture and maintain labour relations data on SAP system. Support peer educators in the implementation of education and awareness programmes. Refer employees to Employee Assistance Programme service providers. Assist line management with the implementation of performance management. Capture, submit and file performance appraisal scores. Advise employees about career-pathing. File succession planning contracts. Assist with the company’s climate survey. Conduct HR briefing sessions. Arrange regional EE and feedback meetings.

3. OFFICER: PAYROLL - REF: OP - JW352/2020 (HEAD OFFICE) 
REMUNERATION: R287 820 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
To provide administration and maintenance of SAP HR/PY system by dealing with payroll related queries in order for employees and third party companies to be paid correctly and timeous monthly. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Process input documentation on the Human Resources SAP Information System and Payroll. Capture daily and monthly input onto the system with regard to overtime, standby, Sunday bonus, all allowances, absenteeism etc. Load input on the system with regard to new entries (hiring of new employees) onto the SAP HR/PY system and also terminations from the system due to retirements, deaths, resignations, dismissals. Capture daily and monthly input with regard to garnishee orders; medical aids; pension funds; third party loans, etc. Effect all changes on the SAP HR/PY system relating to changes in employees’ master data i.e. banking details, addresses, etc. Liaise with third party companies. Process recalls and rejections of any kind of payroll payment i.e. salaries, housing bonds, etc. Consult with financial institutions. Consult with various medical aid companies. Provide proof of employment and details of employment with regard to reference checks on employees by financial institutions. Execute manual personnel related duties. Calculate amounts due in all termination events, and applies for tax directives from SARS offices. Visit SARS offices in order to obtain Tax Directive forms for exiting staff members. Request for cheques from Finance department and ensures the distribution/depositing thereof. Ensure accurate filing system of all input documentation. Adhere to company policies, procedures and legislation. Ensure no overpayments on termination of employees. Establish contact with former employee/beneficiaries in order to arrange refund of money owed. Deal with personnel related queries. Resolve telephone queries from third party companies as well as from line management and employees. Attend to face to face queries from third party companies and employees.

Manage the facilities administration, asset management, procurement and contracts management processes in accordance with standard operating procedures, statutory and regulatory requirements and organizational objectives to ensure compliance and accreditation requirements are met. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Develop, implement and review long term operational plan for Scientific Services Departments’ contracts, chemical and flammable stores, and records management. Ensure effective management of the Facilities (building, keys, finger printing doors, alarm codes) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Develop, implement and manage an effective and accurate asset management and record keeping system in accordance with JW’s Records Policy and statutory requirements. Ensure procurement of goods and services in accordance with the company’s procurement processes and procedures. Manage the contracts documentation and record keeping process in accordance with record keeping principles and processes. Ensure the accurate management of the stores, stock levels and requirements and storage compliance and quality. Report on monthly expenditure of contracts. Comply with Supply Chain policy, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, OHS Act and other JW policies. Manage and enhance the processes to drive performance and operational objectives. Manage own and staff Performance and implement corrective action where required. 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
Essential qualifications and experience: 
 BSc Chemistry /Applied Chemistry / Microbiology (NQF 7) or National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Water Care (NQF 6). 
 6-yrs chemical analysis experience in the laboratory preferably in the water and sanitation environment of which 2years experience is in contract management and payment of suppliers 
 1 year in supervisory / management role 
 Experience in using Microsoft Office packages 
 Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 
 Knowledge of Supply Chain Management systems 
 Valid Driver’s license

PURPOSE
To ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the water and sanitation services to customers under the jurisdiction of the depot 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Manage the provision of water and sanitation service to the public throughout the allocated depot area. Manage the installation, replacement, and testing of water meter to ensure compliance with National and Johannesburg Water standards. Plan, propose and implement pro-active measures and response to public needs. Co-ordinate and advice the Regional Manager on all matter relating to water and sanitation services. Ensure proper financial control and adherence to policies by managing overtime and standby. Ensure that safety issues raised at the Health and Safety Committee are actioned within agreed time frames. Attend Regional service delivery meetings and ensure that decisions taken are being implemented and resolved. Manage communication within the depot. Manage all human resource process in the Depot.

6. OPERATIONAL MANAGER: ELECTRICAL - REF: OME - JW352/2020 (OLIFANTSVLEI WORKS) 
REMUNERATION: R436 992 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
Ensure that repairs and maintenance to electrical and automation infrastructure based at Johannesburg Water’s Treatment Works is done in accordance to General Machinery Regulations section 2.1 & 2.7 (OHASA) and SANS codes of practice.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Manage the electrical repairs and maintenance of all Waste Water Treatment Works buildings, facilities, and workshops according to SANS0142 and Building Regulations. Manage and ensure the facilities maintenance of all buildings which include, but not limited to the painting of the buildings (outsourced) lighting, ventilation and general upkeep according to OHASA and JW standards and procedures. Manage and Control staff in terms of HR Policies. Manage, monitor and enforce safety requirements in the workplace by carrying out risk assessments and on job assessments. Informs Electrical Manager with the annual capital (CAPEX) and operating budgets (OPEX) estimates. Keep updated records of expenditure per electrical plant/equipment and inform Electrical Manager of high expenditure equipment. Liaise with consultants and other JW departments on operational issues when required. 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
Essential qualifications and experience: 
 Grade 12/N3 Electrical + Electrical trade test certificate or NQF level 4 Electrical learnership. 
 5 years’ experience on motors and motor controllers such as Soft starters, Direct on line and Star Delta starters. 
 Basic experience on PLC'S and VSD'S. 
 Experience on ultrasonic level controllers and actuators of which 2 years must be supervisory experience. 
 Valid code EB drivers licence

7. REGIONAL MANAGER - REF: RM - JW352/2020 (RANDBURG DEPOT) 
REMUNERATION: R1 297 704 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
To ensure the alignment of mission and the vision of JW in the provision of water and sanitation services to the customer in the respective operational region. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Participate in the development of overall strategy for the division in the context of the policy framework set by Johannesburg Water. Initiate and coordinate the formulation of policy for development of service delivery in the respective regions. Ensure that appropriate auditing; monitoring and control is carried out in all areas of functional responsibility (e.g. standards, policies, procedures, financial controls, stock controls, plan and vehicle control, etc.). Plan, propose and implement pro-active measure and responses to public needs and requests to improve service delivery. Liaise with all customers as and when required within the region. Responsible for the sound financial management of the region. Ensure proper financial control and adherence to procurement policy and stores control. Responsible for sound Human Resources Management for the region. Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and JW policies and procedures.

8. STORE ISSUER - REF: SI - JW352/2020 (AVALON DEPOT – PREPAYMENT) 
REMUNERATION: R152 016 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
Operate a store by receiving and issuing stock, checking physical quantities and keeping the store clean and tidy. Control the minor plant store. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Check goods delivered against the Delivery Note and purchase order in SAP. Check quality and quantity of quarantined stock. Send the Delivery Note and Invoice to Head Office for payment. Accept Pick List from team and check against reservation in SAP. Advise plumbers on pipe sizes and suitable fittings to be used. Undertake weekly cycle counts and report discrepancies. Undertake major stock count quarterly. Complete the transaction in the record book. Ensure stock is packed correctly.

9. CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR X2 – REF: CRO - JW352/2020 (HEAD OFFICE) 
REMUNERATION: R183 708 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 
 
PURPOSE
To manage the control room and its resource systems, have full control of all sites reporting to the controller and manage incidents and shortcomings effectively. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Report the number of security officers on duty for the particular site and shift. Report Security Officer’s on leave, short postings, AWOL etc. Ensure all deviations on posting are rectified. Arrange security officers to fill short postings / shortages/ AWOL. Ensure all sites report on an hourly basis, reporting all in order and or report any irregularities as they happen. Issue an OB number to the control room and issue an OB number in return, for reference purposes. Report all incidents on site to the control room and the Operator must make an OB entry pertaining all details and complete an incident report. Report any irregularities. Follow Emergency SOP’s in any incidents. Ensure that Guard monitoring systems gives warnings to the control room. Send out mobile supervisors to problem areas if there is no response from Security Officer’s on site. Report lost and faulty equipment. Keep the working environment clean and tidy at all times, including equipment and resources. 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
Essential qualifications and experience: 
 Grade 12 
 3 years’ experience in a Security environment, which includes 1 year control room experience. 
 Computer literacy 
 PSIRA Grade B Registration
