PURPOSE
Ensure that projects are executed according to JW standards and specifications as contained contract documentation.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct physical inspections during work execution to ensure that the workers are not exposed to risks. Ensure that all safety audit findings are resolved within the specified timeframes. Report project progress and plan of action on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the Project Engineer. Visit the site daily and capture site visit findings on the daily site inspection checklist. Assess and record site conditions, pre- and post construction activities (including the taking of photographs. Keep a site diary, update the contractor’s site diary with information regarding; rainfall data, scope of work, inspections, site visits and incidents which occurred. Track the contractor’s construction program by monitoring the construction targets, project’s critical path. Ensure that the as- built drawings are to JW’s specification. Submit final as-built drawings to Development Control within two months after project completion. Ensure that project close-out reports are completed and submitted to the Project Engineer within two months after project completion. Assist in compiling procurement reports for the evaluation and adjudication committees.
