DEPOT MANAGER – REF: DEM JW336/2019
REMUNERATION: R882 528 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM
 
PURPOSE
To ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the water and sanitation services to customers under the jurisdiction of the depot.
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the provision of all continues water and sanitation service to the public throughout the allocated depot area. Manage the installation, replacement, and testing of water meters to ensure compliance with National and Johannesburg Water standards. Plan, propose and implement pro-active measures and response to public needs. Co-ordinate and advice the Regional Manager on all matter relating to water and sanitation services. Ensure the implementation of performance management as per the policy. Identify and encourage personnel training requirements and career developments. Ensure recruitment of skilled staff in order to achieve quality service delivery. Ensure proper financial control and adherence to policies by managing overtime, standby and timekeeping. Ensure that safety issues raised at the Health and Safety committee are actioned within agreed time frames. Attend Regional service delivery meetings and ensure that decisions taken are being implemented and resolved. Manage communication within the depot.
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
·         National Diploma  in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (NQF6)
·         5 years’ experience in water and sanitation operations of which 3 years must be at managerial level
·         Valid Code EB driver’s License
