REMUNERATION: 756 024 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
 
 
PURPOSE
To ensure that Environmental Management System that Johannesburg Water subscribed to is developed, implemented, audited in line with the requirements of the system and other legislative requirements.
Develop procedures and guidelines for construction, operational and maintenance methods. Advice the organisation in all EMS related matters and other related compliance matters. Advice CAPEX department on compliance issues. Attend monthly site / progress meetings with project team and Environmental Consultants. Audit compliance in Networks in line with EMS and all applicable Environmental Legislations. Ensure that all public complaints reported are communicated to the relevant Managers. Develop an audit plan. Conduct audits in Networks. Ensure that consultants submit monthly audit reports. Represent Johannesburg Water in Waste Management Forum meetings. Ensure Johannesburg Water compliance with environmental management Legislations and other applicable standards. Advice contractors / sub-contractors on all environmental management related issues. 
Recommend on mitigation measure to be implemented to address environmental issues identified. Advice on appropriate training service provider for environmental training and awareness. Develop training matrix. Compile audit reports for two annual audits per Environmental Management System requirements. Ensure that the major environmental issues are reported to other relevant stakeholders and / or authorities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
·         BTech or BSc (NQF 7) (Engineering or Science)
·         3 years environmental experience. Have implemented and Maintained an ISO 14000
·         Valid Drivers License
