5. ACCOUNTANTS: CREDITORS X 3 (REF: 10/2019/86)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the accounts payable process from receipt of invoices, payments reconciliation stage to final payment stage.
• Enforce 30 days payment compliance by daily monitoring of the Accounts Payable (AP) report to curb late payments and action those items ageing on the report.
• Address and resolve supplier queries, reconciling items, corrections and adjustments needed, mis-posting etc.
• Perform Quality Assurance on payments and address identified gaps.
• Ensure that all processes, procedures and compliance standards are adhered to.

6. ACCOUNTANT: TREASURY (REF: 10/2019/87)

• Liaise with other finance departments with regards to payments and receipts in the bank.
• Liaise with Expenditure and Income as well as Assets departments for effective processing of bank transactions.

• Design new and revised traffic signal layout plans in accordance with the SARTSM Volume 3 requirements.

10. TECHNICIAN: TRAFFIC SIGNAL DESIGN (ELECTRICAL) (REF: 10/2019/92)

• Analyse existing and proposed new intersection designs and revisions traffic flow through analysis of traffic counts, information from GIS, such as aerial views, SARTSM requirements and regulations and physical topographic surveillance.

• Verify depot and contractor safety files according to the standard checklist.
• Perform on site audits on problem areas identified during the file verification process as well as items on the standard audit checklist.
• Verify that the correct SHE procedures are being followed.
• Inspect and assess plant, equipment, vehicle conditions, the wearing of safety gear and equipment (PPP clothing/C Clothing) etc.

• Ensure cost efficiency in planning of tasks.
• Schedule maintenance work on the Hansen system on an on-going basis.
• Deliver against the level 1 maintenance programme.
• Create work orders.
• Update the work schedule with actual dates of completion.
• Record on Hansen relevant details that service requests have been completed.
• Create quotations for jobbing.
• Ensure safety measures are in place (e.g. barricades).
• Allocate appropriate numbers and skills sets of staff in accordance to the requirements of the particular tasks at hand.
• Oversee the adherence to plans, work quality and execution of all work by staff.
• Conduct on-side visit and physical verifications/ inspections of jobs completed on roads and storm-water maintenance requests in terms of required quality and standards.
• Draw and review reports, escalating issues and action follow ups to relevant management.
• Investigate concerns raised on the inspection report.
• Generate claim reports.
REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
• National Diploma in Construction or NQF equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in the road and storm-water environment.
