INTERNAL AUDITOR
Salary: R 24 835.15 - R32 687.92 per month basic plus benefits
 
 
JOB PURPOSE:
Execute / Perform internal audit assurance and consultancy engagements to support the implementation of the approved Internal Audit Operational Plan, providing assurance on governance, risk management and control processes in accordance with the Definition of Internal Auditing, the Internal Audit Charter, the Code of Ethics, and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (ISPPIA) and legislative framework.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in maintaining efficient and effective controls and achieving the objectives of the organization by evaluating the organization's controls/objectives, determine their effectiveness and efficiency through internal audits according to the internal audit plan. Participate in the development of proposals to determine the scope of allocated internal audit engagements, execute allocated audits, provide inputs in the development of the scope, collect, analyses and interpret data for purposes of the development of the engagement audit program, 
assess adequacy of controls, perform audit tests to assess the effectiveness of key controls, develop findings and recommendations for the enhancement of controls/processes, evaluate audit findings and determine cost effective solutions and process improvements for recommendation to management, Compile internal audit reports for each engagement, present the results of audit work and recommendations to unit management in the form of oral and written communications. Obtain management comments from applicable managers, prepare audit file in accordance with the HA standards for review and sign off by manager, attend to review notes raised by supervisor and senior manager, monitor progress on the implementation of agreed upon action plans. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and senior manager.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
• National Diploma in internal auditing/Bcom or other auditing qualifications (NQF 6)
• Minimum of 3 years auditing experience
