Salary: R12 453.29 - R16 811.14 per month basic plus benefits
 
JOB PURPOSE
Assist and perform duties to ensure and maintain the ripeness of fresh produce received by the company.
 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Test produce for ripeness and ensure testing equipment is quality approve, make recommendations as to the ripeness and suitability of produce, ensure adherence to OHSA, keep record of tested produce and maintain records, reports incidents and keep incident record up to date, apply and enforce market by-laws, implement maintain and improve QMS, keep own training register up to date, up to speed with the latest technology and developments in the industryPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience
• Microsoft Suit Skill (Excel, Word, Outlook) at advanced level
 
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Ability to understand and implement health and safety procedures
• Knowledge of QM system
• Ability to evaluate practices and ensure adherence to relevant company rules and Governmental Legislation
• Knowledge of quality standards
• Ability to write reports
• Record maintenance skills
