Qualification Requirements and skills 
Grade 12 
National Diploma in Arts Development or Administration. or Communications (NQF6). 
3 to 5 years of practical work experience in arts & culture. youth development and entertainment sector. 
 Ability to think strategically and act quickly on new audience development opportunities. 
 Detailed oriented and must have exceptional project management skills. 
 Exceptional communication & presentation skills (oral, written & visual) 
 
Primary Function 
Overall planning and implementation of goals for the development of communities within the Soweto Theatre environment, particularly the Music Tutorial Programme, Trainees, and the Schools Programme. Overall planning and structuring of the department with the development of the policy procedures for purposes of governance, 
 
Key responsibilities: 
Overall planning and implementation of goals for the development of communities within Soweto Theatre environment, particularly the Music Tutorial Programme. Trainees and the Schools Programme. 
Develop youth development programmes that meet the overall objectives of JCT. 
Identify community/youth development initiatives within Soweto, for possible partnerships. 
Compile reports and ensure that all supporting evidence is attached. 
Respond on all youth development internal and external audit queries, Audience Development and Marketing the brand of Soweto Theatre through networking and raising/acquiring funding and sponsorships for internal programs and manage the outsourced audience development team as and when contracted. 
Building new relationships and maintaining existing ones, with partners and sponsors for internal youth development programmes. 
Drafting proposals, business modules and budgets for the department’s programs 
Communicating with relevant internal and external departments or agencies and other stakeholders on opportunities and partnerships pertaining to audience development 
Creation of an audience development plan to focus on who to reach and how to reach them. identify how much it will cost to put plans into action. 
 
Train and manage the performance of subordinates, including output. Service standards and be prepared to take adequate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance. 
Manage and overseeing of the administration and creative process of the department. 
Develop ways of serving existing finding new ones and seeking new opportunities 
Create an audience development plan to focus on who to reach and how to reach them. identify how much it will cost to put plans into action.

Requirements and skills 
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (NQF Level 7) 
Municipal Finance Management Programme certificate from an accredited institute 
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles 
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations 
Proven experience as Financial Manager 
Extensive 5 years of experience at senior management level within the finance environment. 
Proficient user of finance software 
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills 
 
Primary Function 
To lead and manage financial services unit to ensure provision of efficient and effective financial and budget control in JCT based on sound financial principles. 
 
Key responsibilities: 
Verify that Trial Balance agrees to the financial statements and general ledger. 
Confirm that financials are supported by the working paper file / audit file. 
Provide critical financial and operational information to the CFO and where required make actionable recommendations on both strategy and implementation. 
Maintain all financial accounting standards required to satisfy the stakeholders i.e. Shareholders, National Credit Act and MFMA. 
Produce monthly reports including reconciliations, financial statements, and cash flow projections/forecast. 
Analyse income statement, balance sheet, cash position and perform a variance analysis.
Conduct projections of year-end outcomes. 
Propose journal entries and on acceptance, implement the journal entries. 
Ensure that payments are accurately captured on the financial system and authorised per delegations. 
Verify and review the accuracy and completeness of the capex reports. 
Ensure by verifying that debtors age analysis is updated with the new invoices and payment received from the customers. 
Reconcile the ticket sales on that show settlement to the ticketing system reports. 
Review that ticketing fees charged agree to the ticketing fee on the contract. 
Develop, implement, and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and supporting policies. 
Facilitate the compilation of Strategic and Operation Risk Registers. 
Budgeting in Mscoa and Transacting in Mscoa 
Manage the performance of direct and indirect reports in accordance with the JCT performance management policy and procedure. 
Manage discipline and absenteeism in accordance with organizational codes and procedures. 
Manage compliance with agreed budgets in consultation with the Senior Manager, ensuring that costs are contained. 
Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and allocation of resources. 
Ensure effective management of external contractors and suppliers within the development. 
Guide, lead and direct staff to be able to achieve objectives set for them. 
Monitor and manage staff performance within the division in compliance with the Performance Management policy and processes. 
Ensure achievement of departmental goals and targets. 
Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance. 
 Ensure that responses to communication of audit findings are provided to the auditors within 5 working days. 
 Attend to audit queries and the implementation of the recommendations thereof.

Qualification and Skills Requirements

Work Experience

Primary Function
• The purpose of the job is to provide access control, parameter patrolling, guarding, security systems operations and general security services to ensure the safety and security of employees, stakeholders/ clients, assets, information, and building/ facilities.
 
Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all aspects of an access control are complied with.
• Issue access control permits and receive same on departure
• Ensure that all visitors are fetched from reception/access control point and escorted throughout building by host.
• Subject employees and visitors to walkthrough detection systems and ensure that weapons and unauthorized articles are not taken into the buildings
• Ensure that private firearms are registered and locked in appropriate firearm safe facility.
• Baggage to X-ray examination and ensure that all unauthorized item/articles detected are prevented from entering the premises
• Ensure that all private property brought into the building are declared in the appropriate registers
• Ensure that all assets removed from the premises are accompanied by appropriate asset removal permits
• Respond to all electronic security system at the facility
• Check for the operation of all electronic systems during one’s shifts.
• Record all security breaches detected and action initiated to contain same
• Conduct office inspections to check compliance with office security.
• Remove all vulnerable assets abandoned in risk area and keep them in safe custody.
• Check building perimeter and electronic security systems deployed around the building on commencement and termination of one’s shift.
• Conduct vehicle searches where appropriate and necessary.
• Provide any other security duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Requirements
• Grade 12 
• National Diploma in Business/Hospitality Management (NQF 6) or equivalent 
• 3 years’ experience working in the public/private sector. 
• Supervisory experience 
• Strong leadership and management skills 
• Communication abilities 
• Ability to stand on your feet for several hours.

Primary Function 
To manage the efficient and smooth running of all three Theatres, Amphitheatre, Box Office and foyer and outdoor events within the Soweto Theatre for both in-house and external bookings ensuring that the Front of House operates in a friendly, smooth and efficient manner throughout the events, in an environment that conforms to Health, Safety, and Fire Regulations. 
 
Key responsibilities: 
  • Provides a full and courteous customer service to audiences. 
  • Ensure that each performance is fully staffed with casual foyer/ outdoor events employees; ensure that they are allocated where needed, that all staff members are presentable, on time at their positions and friendly always. 
  • Administer all time sheets of staff members for submission to the Customer Service Manager timeously. 
  • Ensure that the foyer/outdoor is always manned and presentable. 
  • Handling complaints in a professional manner to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently. 
  • Maintenance, logistics and liaison with tenants, police, fire and other emergency services when required. 
  • Manage orders with suppliers and receive deliveries and display stock. 
  • Ensure adequate advertising in the display units, brochures and posters are in the foyer for upcoming events. 
  • Ensure that the correct financial procedures are followed with the ticking process. 
  • Ensure that the foyer area and auditorium is always clean. 
  • Reconcile all income and monitor cash handling processes at the end of each performance. 
  • Maintain financial records for monitoring and budgeting purposes. 
  • Allocate petty cash to different stations in the foyer or outdoor events. 
  • Coordinate the emergency evacuation procedure in the event of an emergency a prior to, during or after a performance. 
  • Brief the team and allocate safety task to the relevant individuals. 
  • Ensure that the audience leaves safely at the end of a performance. 
  • Write and disseminate show reports after each performance with attendance figures and patron feedback.
