CURATOR SOCIAL HISTORY: HISTORICAL ARCHAEOLOGY – INDEFINITE
APPOINTMENT
Basic Salary Range: R549 000.82 per annum, plus benefits
 
Requirements: Master’s degree in Archaeology with specialty in the historical period • Diploma or postgraduate qualification in Curatorial Studies • Established publication record in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals  • PhD in Archaeology with specialisation in historical archaeology from the 17th to 19th centuries • Established publication record in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals • Valid Code EB Driver’s licence • Membership of any relevant professional associations for example, Association of South African Professional Archaeologists, SA Museum Association, ICOM (International Council of Museums), etc • At least three years’ experience working in the archaeology discipline in a museum, heritage institution, or relevant academic/research environment with a demonstrated track record of competence and success • General historical archaeological research experience (17th – 19th century) • Proven experience with archaeological fieldwork, collections-based research, and/or public engagement • Established publication record (including peer-reviewed) • Curatorial experience • Exhibition design and production experience • Fundraising experience • Database skills and GIS/differential surveying a plus • Project Management experience • People Management • Financial experience • Presentation of papers and public speaking • Intermediate to advance level computer literacy in MS Office and any Project management programme • Report-writing • Proven academic research and writing ability Networking, in particular cross-institutional collaboration • Multilingualism in South African languages.

Requirements: Four-year Degree in art, art history, or similar Diploma or postgraduate qualification in Curatorial Studies • Ideal: Honours degree or registered for a Master’s programme in fine arts, art history, or similar • Proven curatorial research • At least three years’ experience working in a museum, gallery, or research environment as an assistant curator, research fellow, or similar with a demonstrated track record of competence and success • Basic research experience in fine arts, art history, or similar • Established research experience (publication record beneficial) • Exhibition development experience • Basic fundraising and partnership experience • Project Management experience • Basic financial management experience • Presentation of research and public speaking • Intermediate level computer literacy in MS Office Report-writing •Academic research and writing ability • Multilingualism in South African languages.

​SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATOR X2 – DEFINITE APPOINTMENT (ONE YEAR)

Basic Salary Range: R264 783.45 per annum, plus benefits
 
Requirements: Matric (Grade 12. NQF 4) • relevant certificate in Finance or Supply Chain Management (Procurement) or equivalent related qualification as recognized by SAQA • Ideal: A Certificate or Diploma (NQF 5) in Supply Chain Management or equivalent related qualification as recognized by SAQA • Valid Code EB Driver’s License would be an advantage • At least three years’ experience in supply chain or financial environment • Computer literate in relevant asset management accounting software packages; intermediate or advanced level of Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with numbers and attention to detail • Experience within the legislative environment, including the understanding of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations as they relate to Supply Chain management Sound knowledge of the General Recognition of Accounting Practice (GRAP) and International Framework of Reporting Standards (IFRS) with regard to Asset Management • Knowledge and experience in Contract, Records and Fleet Management.

Requirements: A relevant tertiary education at a minimum of a master’s degree level or equivalent and qualification in Advance Project management • People Management, Facilities Management related to heritage buildings, understanding of Museum Environment • Valid code EB Driver’s License • (Advantageous) Membership of relevant professional associations for example SA Museum Association • At least 5 years’ experience in managing and implementing multiple Infrastructure related projects of which 3 should have been at middle or senior management level
