The Training Officer will implement Capacity Building and Development initiatives across Ithala SOC Limited:
The responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to:
Conduct competency based needs analysis.
Coordinate staff training programmes based on organizational and employee needs.
Use questionnaires and surveys in consultation with managers and staff to analyze training needs as they relate to the goals of the organization and work areas.
Compile training manuals.
Develop training resources, which may involve preparing notes and visual displays from researched information or their own knowledge.
Arrange or conduct training courses, which may involve demonstrating equipment, operating video recorders and cameras, leading group discussions or role-playing activities and employing experts to run sessions.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes using surveys, questionnaires, interviews and by observation, in order to plan future courses or to amend existing ones.
Obtain information on work-related external courses, prepare reports on their suitability and make recommendations on staff attendance at training courses.
Prepare, administer and conduct training assessments.
Provide career development sessions for existing staff and conduct on boarding sessions for new employees.
Assist in developing capacity building and development interventions to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Support learners during training interventions.
Develop job portfolios and learning plans.
Ensure skills audits are conducted throughout the organization.
Provide career guidance and performance or personal guidance.
Facilitate and assist on the implementation of performance management system and talent management framework in the organization.
Perform skills development facilitation function.
Manage bursaries, study loans, leadership, management programmes and all work integrated learning programmes.
The responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to:
A B-Degree in Social Sciences/ Human Resources Development or equivalent qualification.
Be registered as an Assessor and Moderator.
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in the Human Resources Development field in a financial environment.
Must have a valid Code 08 driver’s license
Computer literacy in MS Office packages.
Have the ability to apply business process approach in decision making.
Have presentation, auditing and report writing skills.
Be client centric.
Knowledge of project management.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and IsiZulu.
Have excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies and diverse groups of people.
