An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to devise the organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcome. 
 
 
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
 Design, develop and enhance capacity building and development programs that respond to organizational training needs. 
 Supervise the capacity building and development team in their delivery of tailor-made initiatives. 
 Harmonize the value proposition of the unit with the organizational human resources strategy. 
 Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training program, their success and return of investment periodically. 
 Compile and implement an effective workplace skills plan with consideration of the relevant training prescripts i.e. Skills Development and Levies Act. 
 Ensure that all capacity building and development programmes are aligned to SAQA and NQF standards. 
 Maintain a keen understanding of capacity building and development trends and best practice within the banking sector. 


 Collaborate with other human resources functions in ascertaining organisational needs for fit for purpose initiatives. 
 Deliver effective capacity building initiatives that aligns to the career progression of employees. 
 Maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders. 
 Collaborate with risk assurance functions to understand risks associated with capacity building programs. 
 Prepare and submit reports to the human resources division pertaining to the delivery of capacity building interventions as and when required. 
 
The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: 
 Grade 12. 
 Degree in Social Sciences, training and development or relevant discipline. 
 Skills Development Facilitator certification or accreditation by SAQA or any of the SETAs as a training facilitator. 
 Formal training in curriculum development and alignment to NQF levels and a certificate as an Assessor will be an added advantage. 
 Computer literacy in Microsoft Office. 
 Five (5) years’ experience in training and development, or organizational development or related Capacity development field. 
 Experience in delivering and implementing tailor-made capacity building initiatives in a financial/ banking entity. 
 Experience in capacity assessment, curricula development and the evaluation of training impact. 
 Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment. 
 Demonstrable facilitation and presentation skills. 
 Ability to communicate and understand vernacular will be an added advantage in delivering training. 
 Experience in analysing the effectiveness of capacity building propositions and compilation of reports. 
 Working knowledge of key legislative requirements in banking i.e. FAIS / FICA / FSC/ NCA etc. 
 Knowledge of capacity building and development methodology. 
 Knowledge and understanding of Human Resource models. 
 Knowledge of the provisions SAQA Standards. 
 Advanced knowledge of Skills Development Act, Skills Levies Act and National Qualification Act 
 Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders assertively.
