A Senior Accountant: Revenue Management, in the Group Finance department will manage and control accounting systems for monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and control staff output.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to: 
• Prepare and consolidate departmental budgets. 
• Assist with the review of budgets. 
• Maintain, plan and control data input on JDE and banking system. 
• Assist with maintaining of budgets. 
• Run ledgers and trial balance reports. 
• Review reconciliations to ensure correctness of financial accounts and control reconciliations. 
• Reconcile allocated general ledger and bank accounts. 
• Control and administer electronic payments for the revenue department. 
• Ensure monthly and year end processes and procedures are performed. 
• Assist with ensuring that key controls are updated and implemented. 
• Manage collections. 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 
• Assist with the holding Company notes and disclosure notes. 
• Ensure that internal and external audits run smoothly. 
• Ensure provisional tax is paid to SARS on time. 
• Be involved in enhancement projects. 
• Manage Human Resources 
 
 
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered: 
• Chartered Accountant (CA) (SA)/ AGA (SA) / SAIPA / CIMA 
• Minimum three (3) years accounting experience. 
 
Requisite Functional Competencies 
• Good financial skills. 
• Knowledge and experience in MS Office packages. 
• Knowledge in working with spreadsheets. 
• Knowledge of Accounting and General Ledger systems. 
• Knowledge of Computerised Financial Systems. 
• Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles. 
• Knowledge of Financial Policies and Procedures. 
• Good interpersonal skills. 
• Good time management skills. 
• Good verbal and writing communication skills. 
• Report Writing Skills. 
• Budgeting Knowledge. 
• Good understanding of the PFMA. 
• Human Resources Management.
