Reporting to the Remuneration & Benefits Manager, a Payroll Supervisor will supervise employees and maintain administration in Remuneration and Benefits.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
• Supervise remuneration of Ithala employees, ensuring that monthly remuneration data is captured correctly.
• Communicate changes in Remuneration Policies and Procedures to HR Administration for implementation.
• Ensure that payments due to employees are processed timeously.
• Ensure that correct allocation of all remuneration costs is managed.
• Ensure that staff costs are reconciled, and financial services is informed.
• Generate and distribute reports.
• Supervise reconciliation of Group Life assurance.
• Handle administration of Medical Aid fund.
• Administer payroll for Executives and Directors.
• Handle administration of disability application and benefits payments.
• Liaise with pension/provident fund service provider.
• Provide advice and support on remunerations and benefits to HR Management and other Divisions across the organisation.
• Administer payments of pension and provident funds.

The following minimum requirements must be met to be considered for this position:
• Post matric qualification.
• Diploma in HR or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• 5 years’ experience in HR and administrative function.

• Understanding of JDE.
• Good financial skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Time management skills.
• Knowledge in working with spreadsheets.
• Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Financial Policies and Procedures.
• Good administration, planning and organising skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Report writing skills.
• Accurate filing system.
