An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic leader with the appropriate qualifications and experience to assume the position of a Head: Credit.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the ideal individual would be required to:
Assume the executive responsibilities pertaining to strategic credit risk management programme.
Identify existing or potential credit risks and exercise control and minimize them.
Develop and implement sound and prudent credit policies.
Develop and manage effective credit granting and collection systems.
Develop and implement comprehensive procedures.
Evaluate and approve\disapprove proposed new loans.
Manage the quality of the loans portfolio.
Develop effective communication with internal divisions.
Develop and evaluate new systems and procedures.
Prepare credit risk DI returns for Reserve Bank and certify correctness on monthly basis.
Induct staff, and manage their performance.
Managing staff development.
The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position:
Postgraduate degree in commerce or business.
A minimum of at least eight (8) years’ experience in credit risk management within the financial services.
Vast experience in strategic management of credit related projects including advocating the discipline at executive management structures.
Exceptional knowledge of credit management including the related statutory requirements.
