Reporting to the Properties Executive, the Divisional Manager: Property Management will ensure efficient and proper performance of the Property portfolio, while ensuring that the organisation is delivering on its mandate.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
Formulate and implement effective divisional strategies and plans that are aligned and supportive of the business strategy.
Compile Policies and Procedures for Property Management division in line with the departmental strategy.
Manage lease agreements.
Identify and recommend investments and new development opportunities.
Implement Customer Service Policy in order to ensure improved customer satisfaction.
Ensure the development and implementation of divisional facilities management programme.
Implement maintenance service delivery policy.
Ensure financial sustainability for the division.
Manage Human Resources.
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management or equivalent.
Post Graduate qualification in a Property Management or related field will be an added advantage.
Minimum eight (8) years’ experience of which five (5) should have been at a Senior Management level within property management / development environment.
Experience in managing tenants.
Understanding of Legislation governing the property management industry.
Knowledge of tenanting.
Financial skills.
Basic technical knowledge of building and infrastructure.
Debtors management skills.
An advanced level of computer literacy, including MS Office Suite.
People management and interpersonal skills.
Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Marketing and Public Relations skills.
Project management skills.
Must be a confident communicator with sound interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong relationships/networks.
Leadership and assertiveness skills.
Negotiation and conflict management skills.
Planning, organising, problem solving and decision making skills.
Maintenance of high ethical standards and professionalism.
