The Acquisition Manager will provide efficient and effective management and verification of the Acquisition Process.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
• Manage the Acquisition system;
• Manage the logistics process;
• Manage the disposals operations;
• Ensure that SCM division stays abreast with the changing norms and appropriate legislation by ongoing research and studies of National Initiatives and BBBEE Development;
• Produce and ensure weekly and monthly reports and or statistical returns are prepared to the Divisional Manager Supply Chain in terms of the agreed objectives plans and budget;
• Represent Divisional Manager Supply Chain Manager in meetings convened by other Departments in the organisation.
The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
• NQF Level 6 Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management/Finance/Public Management or equivalent.
• 5 Years’ experience in SCM (preference will be given to candidates with more than 5 years in public sector and /or financial services) with 3 years of managerial experience.
• Computer Proficiency in MS Office/Banking Systems/JD Edwards/Database Formulation.
• Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply legislation related to procurement.
• The ability to apply a business or commercial thought process approach in decision-making, planning and implementation of projects.
• Be Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Financial acumen to manage resources effectively.
• Planning ability.
• Computer literacy.
• Project Management.
• People Management (Internal).
• Product knowledge of the organisation and the supplier base.
• Skills in identifying and sourcing suppliers.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Be able to speak IsiZulu and English Fluently.
• Report and submission writing skills.
• Deadline driven.
• Valid Drivers licence.
• Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply legislation related to procurement.
• The ability to apply a business or commercial thought process approach in decision-making, planning and implementation of projects.
