Requirements: An appropriate Bachelor’s degree in commerce, law or equivalent qualification. At least three years’ experience within the Import/Export Control or related initiatives. Computer literacy, conceptual and strategic focus, information seeking, results-driven and professionalism. Concern for quality and order. Communication, planning and organising skills. 
 
Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be required to assist in the administration of the relevant provisions of International Trade Administration Act. This will include the adjudication of import and export permits applications in accordance with Regulations, Legislation and Policy. Participate in adjudication of import and export permit applications on electronic work folders. Ensure that all captured permit information is current and correct with regard to the applicant’s details, tariff heading, description and volumes, issued. Check import and export permit system daily, to monitor information flowing between ITAC and SARS. Conduct research as per the approved Project Plan. ​MANAGER: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 

All-inclusive MMS remuneration package per annum: R 896 436 (Ref: No: ITAC 11/2025
 
Requirements: The applicant must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Communication Technology. Three years’ experience in an IT environment. Active Directory, Exchange and SQL certification and experience is essential. Experience and exposure to open-source technology like MySQL and PHP is recommended. Microsoft certifications, e.g., MCSE/MCITP/MS-102 are essential. COBIT and ITIL V3 certification is recommended. Project management skills. Good interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills. Knowledge of Cyber Security best practices. Ability to interact at all levels. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Information Technology management and administration will be an advantage. 
 
Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be required to assist users and assess their needs in terms of Information Technology resources. Acquire resources needed. Manage projects and provide inputs to project planning and implementation. Develop, implement and review IT policies, processes and procedures. Maintain a stable IT infrastructure. Provide IT customer support in line with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles. Identify the inherent risks in the IT environment and ensure that suitable risk mitigation strategies are in place. Ensure that all IT security measures are implemented and monitored. Implementation of IT Governance best practices. Monitor, manage and report on service delivery by external service providers according to contractual agreements/SLAs. Manage compliance with relevant IT legislation and regulatory frameworks. Conduct cyber security user awareness campaigns. Cultivate an effective and cohesive team through the effective management of human resources. Provide input to the development of the ICT frameworks and strategy. MANAGER: POLICY AND RESEARCH 
All-inclusive MMS remuneration package: R 1 059 105 per annum

Requirements: The applicant must be in possession of a Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Law or Business Economics. A postgraduate degree in in these or a similar field will be an added advantage. At least three years practical experience in a research-related area, preferably dealing with international trade issues. In addition to having an extensive knowledge of research principles, Candidates must also have – In depth knowledge of international trade law and policy; understanding of trade remedies (anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard measures), tariff amendments; and import/export control; ability to interpret and apply domestic legislation and international agreements; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong legislative and policy formulation and drafting abilities; ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders both inside and outside Government; strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. 
 
Key Responsibilities: Provide research, analytical and policy support to ITAC’s core business units (Trade Remedies, Tariff Amendment Investigations, Import and Export Control). Conduct research on trade issues to inform ITAC’s decisions and recommendations. Monitor developments in domestic, regional and international trade policy and instruments to advise the Chief Commissioner and the core business units on their potential implications. 
Ensure that ITAC’s legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures are aligned with broader government economic, industrial and trade policies. Develop and maintain internal policy frameworks, position papers and guidelines to support ITAC’s mandate. Regularly review ITAC’s trade instruments to assess their effectiveness and recommend improvements. Draft revisions to ITAC’s legislation, guidelines, and other documents to enhance the effectiveness of its trade interventions. Propose innovative approaches to expand the scope of trade remedies, tariff amendments, and import/export controls to address ongoing and emerging trade disputes and where gaps are identified. 
Engage with government departments (e.g., dtic and National Treasury), industry associations, labour, and other stakeholders to gather insights and provide policy input. Represent ITAC in inter-departmental forums, trade negotiations support teams and stakeholder consultations. Prepare policy briefs, presentations and reports for decision-making by ITAC’s Chief Commissioner, the Commission and its Executive Management. Manage the Policy and Research unit and coordinate on research, policy and other trade-related matters with officials from the core business units. Also assist Corporate Services with research and other matters.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs within deadlines and aligned with ITAC’s strategic objectives. Promote a culture of evidence-based policy making. An understanding of trade remedies instruments and their role in economic development. An understanding of the role of the multilateral trading system. Leadership qualities and ability to work independently and in a team. An ability to communicate effectively. Professional conduct and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds.
 
Key Responsibilities: Accountable to the Senior Manager, the Project Manager will: Conduct and manage investigations relating to Trade Remedies. Manage investigation teams assigned to specific investigations. Research and analyze information and present findings as may be required. Give input in preparation of position papers on topics emanating from trade remedies investigations. Liaise with various stakeholders in different levels in carrying out various duties and be prepared to represent the institution in various forums from time to time. The Audit committee is an independent committee, that continuously review current trends and best practices in relation to corporate governance. 
Salary: Remuneration will be in terms of the National Treasury rates. 
 
Requirements: Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, for appointment as a member of the Audit Committee for a period of three years. A relevant three-year tertiary qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Information Technology and Law. The applicants should be independent and knowledgeable on the status of their positions, as members of the Audit Committee. Candidates should have been exposed in the auditing, governance and risk management environments within the public sector. 
 
Duties: Duties of the Audit Committee are detailed in its Charter and include: Effective management of financial risks; Reliable management and financial reporting; Compliance with laws and regulations; Maintenance of an effective and efficient internal and external audit; Oversight of the Risk Committee; and fulfilment of other responsibilities.

About the ICT Steering Committee 
The ICT Steering Committee provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure that ITAC’s corporate governance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is effective, compliant, and aligned with public sector digital transformation initiatives. The Committee supports the organisation in delivering value through ICT, managing technology-related risks, and ensuring alignment of ICT with the organisational strategy. 
 
Requirements: A postgraduate qualification in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven expertise in one or more of the following domains: Cyber Security; Artificial Intelligent and Machine learning; Data analytics and ICT governance. A minimum of five years relevant experience in one or more specified domains including experience in policy development, or advisory roles. Understanding of corporate governance frameworks (such as King IV), and relevant legislation, including the Corporate Governance of ICT Policy Framework, POPIA, and PFMA. Demonstrate independence, objectivity, integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to dedicate sufficient time to the responsibilities of the position. 
 
Key Responsibilities: Provide expect advise in one or more of the following domains: Cyber Security; Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML); Data analytics and ICT governance. Guide and review the development, implementation, and monitoring of ICT related policies, strategies and standards. Assess technology and data related risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. Advise on the adoption of emerging technologies to improve organisational efficiency, service delivery and compliance. Evaluate ICT projects, systems and services to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and governance framework. Contribute to ensure compliance with legislation, including POPIA, PFMA and the Corporate Governance of ICT policy framework. An understanding of Trade Remedies and their role in economic development, as well as the functioning of multilateral trading systems. Ability to work independently, in a team and under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively, conduct him/herself professionally and to deal with people from diverse backgrounds. Analytical and also possess research, problem solving and presentation skills. 
 
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Trade Remedies. The successful candidate will be required to: Conduct trade remedies investigations. Assist the Commission in its considerations and decision-making, regarding the investigations conducted through written submissions. Ensure compliance with relevant legislations and policies.
