EXPERIENCE:
- 8-10 years’ experience in an environment with previous focus in a Business Development / Coverage and deal sourcing / project origination role.
- Deep knowledge and experience in respect of the social economy and associated aspects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key outputs and deliverables:
General
- Support Programme Manager in implementing, marketing and origination of transactions for new funds
- Provide structural support and analysis on deals within the Partnership Programs.
- Provide specialist due diligence support to fund managers with regards to reporting, financial planning and any other project related matters
- Drive the innovation strategy and implementation for alternative funding solutions (including fintech)
- Ensure adherence to internal finance systems and procedures relating to fund activities
- Support any new funds from a financial execution, planning and budgeting perspective

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitoring and implementation of Financial Planning and Budgeting: Monitor financial management and budgeting implications of ISA and sponsor department programmes and policy initiatives.
• Review the annual budget process, sectoral expenditure review processes and participate in various technical committees.
• Engage stakeholders on latest trends and processes for implementation with regard to public finance legislation, applicable governance and initiatives.
• Budget analysis and financial planning: Provide strategic direction in government financing, financing mechanisms and levels of funding.
• Co-ordinate the analysis of budget submissions and budgetary contributions to budget documentation for ISA
• Plan and provide inputs in fiscal and budget processes, prioritise budget co-ordination, overall fiscal framework, and adjustment estimates.
• Develop a platform for the development of a three (3) year budget (MTEF) cycle, service delivery and performance indicators and the integration of strategic planning and annual performance plans with the budget.
• Financial Management, Expenditure and Infrastructure Delivery: Develop internal reporting systems and databases for monthly and quarterly expenditure and service delivery reports.
• Analysis and Implementation: Participate in sectoral policy processes, institutional reform, and implementation, provide support for strengthening coherence of policy processes, undertake policy analysis and costing.
• Analyse policies and provide advice to ISA leadership.

Internal / Operational Processes
- Evaluate applications for funding
Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and IDC for the specific deal. - Risk identification and mitigation
- Deal optimization - ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Department and will contribute to meeting industry development goals
- Support the development and implementation of strategies or action plans to drive the Department’s strategic objectives.
- Account management function up to first draw
- Prepare well written and motivated reports for presentation to the relevant Panel and other Panel as required.
- Conduct peer reviews on all peer submissions.

- To effectively interact with internal IDC departments SBUs and departments in order to fulfil the process requirements related to any specific deal / transaction.
