Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial / Shareholder Returns
- Ensure financial soundness of all credit submissions.
- Transactions aligned to IDC’s developmental outcomes
- Evaluate applications for finance (financial, technical and marketing disciplines)
- Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and IDC for the specific deal.
- Risk identification and mitigation of transactions
- Undertake financial modelling in respect of transactions
- Deal optimization - ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Department.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies or action plans to drive the Department’s strategic objectives.
- Account management function
- Prepare well written and motivated reports for presentation to the relevant Panel and any other Panel as required.
- Conduct peer reviews.
- To effectively interact with different clients (internally and externally) in order to fulfil the process requirements related to any specific deal / transaction.
- Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence.
- Provide support in transactions during basic assessment and due diligence processes

Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS (Formal qualifications)
- Minimum qualification: relevant commercial degree

- 3-5 years related experience
- Experience in due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical or Financial)
- Knowledge in assessing all associated issues in a transaction (Legal, risks, etc.)
- Experience in peer review

Synopsis

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Managing of application and submission process
•Basic deal assessment prior to accepting deal into pipeline for deal evaluation / due- diligence and manage ad hoc enquiries on the Programme
•Deal evaluation / due-diligence as per current IDC definition (all disciplines)
•Ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the fund and will contribute to meeting industry development goals
•Identify all risks (pre and post investment) and defining mitigation plans to minimize these risks
•Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and IDC for the specific deal (including the terms and conditions of IDC funding and the rights and obligations of all parties involved in the deal)

•Perform Post Investment Management functions for a portfolio of clients

- To serve as advisor to the CFO
