Synopsis
This role entails the provision of technical services to project owners regarding the planning, preparation and implementation of priority public infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects and programmes, from initial design and planning through construction and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, often coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. The envisaged priority infrastructure projects cut across spheres of government and also public entities. This will be done under one of ISA’s key programmes of Technical Services Office that is aimed at building scale and impact through effective implementation of infrastructure projects and programmes which drive the delivery of public infrastructure.

Qualification and Experience
Formal Qualification/Degree
Any of the following qualifications: Postgraduate/NQF level 8 related qualification in the Built Environment.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
Work Experience
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure project planning, implementation, and delivery in both public and private sectors.
  • Additional Advantage: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working at a management level.
Registration with a Professional Body
  • Registration with a statutory body or legally recognized association.

Synopsis
The IDC’s ESRG and Impact Programme is now at its implementation phase after a 36-month period of setting up policies, strategy, procedures and supporting positions. As such, this programme is requiring skills and resources to accelerate its implementation and integration across the Corporation for both compliance and thought leadership purposes.
Currently, the IDC Sustainability Programme is being led by a Principal Specialist (at M1 level) in the Office of the Chief Operation Officer. In terms of implementation, delivery and integration, the Principal Specialist collaborates and further provides specialist organisational direction and thought leadership with on the programme with the following Heads:
  • Head: Technical Services
  • Head: Corporate Strategy and Innovation
  • Head: Portfolio Insights and Client Support Services

Job Description
Internal / Operational Processes
  • Delivery of the IDC’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions baseline and accounting for Financed emissions.
  • IDC Portfolio analytics and reporting
  • Data Science support for the ESRG and Impact programme i.e., analysis of existing data sets, data gap assessments and analytics as required for the IDC impact measurement tools and framework i.e., Development Score Card, Balance Score Card and Sustainable Finance Bond Framework etc.
  • Development of data systems and provide data analytics for the IDC ESRG and sustainability impact disclosures, target setting and reporting systems.
  • Provide support for the coordination of the organisational Sustainability Plan of Action
  • Policy and climate impact assessments in the context of industrial development

Job Description
To ensure that the project adheres to Agile principles, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the project team to deliver value and benefits.
 
Qualification and Experience
  • 3 year Degree in relevant Field/BCOM degree in IT.
  • Certification in Scrum (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
  • SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Use Azure Boards to manage product backlogs, sprint backlogs, and task
