Overview
The purpose of this position is to render administrative management to the planning, directing and co-ordination of intra-facility and office services-specific tasks of Division: Office Support Services. 
This position reports to the Manager: Office Support Services.
 
 
Responsibilities/Duties
The incumbent will be responsible for the management of staff in the reception, switchboard, cleaning, housekeeping and food services sections ● Provide administrative and leadership tasks at the National Office in relation to cleaning, maintenance and replacing of office furniture and fittings, office moves and relocations, gymnasium facility, cafeteria, including the re-letting of tenders when appropriate ● Develop RFQs and tender specifications for related services ● Manage and implement service level agreements with service providers● Assist provincial offices with development of cleaning tender specifications and with tender evaluations where necessary ●Develop practices and procedures for delivery of services, e.g.  reception, telecoms, canteen, gymnasium, tea/food services, and catering at the ROC ● Provide in depth planning, statistical and financial analysis for catering on a daily basis for meetings as well as catering for all meals at the Results Operation Centre, including the launching of elections and results announcement● Responsible for décor at the ROC and related functions ●Evaluate and recommend changes to manage costs and achieve efficiencies ● Management of suppliers/stakeholders to ensure the best options for acquisition and maintenance of supplies and services ● Management of budget for division.
 
 
Requirements
Matric/N3 plus a relevant Bachelors' Degree or three year National Diploma, with 6 years relevant working experience of which 4 years must be in a position with relevant supervisory responsibility ● In-depth experience in administration, catering, décor, office and building maintenance and upkeep, within the public or private sector● Knowledge and understanding of Labour Relations Act, relevant policy and legislation ● Knowledge and understanding of performance management systems ● Knowledge of team leadership ● Knowledge of supply chain management legislation and regulations ● Good governance skills ● Operational knowledge of field-specific activities● Excellent office and administration skills ● Good verbal and written communication skills ● Good Project Management and organizing skills ● Good computer literacy ● People management and interpersonal skills ● Willingness to travel extensively and a valid driver's licence is compulsory.
