INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
JOB LEVEL : CU
REGION : NATIONAL OFFICE
LOCATION : PRETORIA
DURATION : 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
PORTFOLIO : FSU
PURPOSE: To monitor and report on financial progress of projects, undertake project financial reconciliations, approve expenses, and ensure that project invoices are issued to customers and payments collected.
REPORTING :Senior Manager Project Accounting
REQUIREMENTS :Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 6 years’ relevant work experience in financial management environment 3 of which should have been in financial and/or project accounting.
Competencies: Project Accounting, Financial administration, Financial accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Ratio analysis, Accounting Packages, Budgeting and cost control and Billing procedures.
Skills: Bookkeeping, Planning, Analytical, Interpersonal, Observation, Problem solving, Computer literacy, Transaction Processing and Information systems and document management.
DUTIES: Analyse, monitor and report Project financials, Perform Project financial reconciliation, Ensure Project payment processes are followed and implemented, Ensure that Project billing are accurate, Provide General functions.
