INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST (IDT)
The IDT is a Schedule 2 Public Entity, established as a development management agency. Its primary role is to influence, support and add value to the national agenda. The IDT is mandated to measurably impact on the eradication of poverty and to improve the quality of life of poor, rural and marginalised communities. To assist us in achieving this, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions:
FINANCE OFFICER (CLERK) - 6 POSITIONS
JOB LEVEL : BU
REGION : NATIONAL OFFICE
LOCATION : PRETORIA
DURATION : 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
PORTFOLIO : FSU
PURPOSE :To capture and prepare all payments of overhead creditors, assist in preparation of ad hoc reports and other finance related functions.
REPORTING :Financial Accountant: Payables
REQUIREMENTS :Diploma in Finance e.g. Accounting or similar qualification Bcom or Bcompt will be an added advantage. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in expenditure and payables.
Competencies: Administration Management, File Management Systems, Documents Management, Procurement Procedures, Finance Admin Procedures, Computer Literacy (MS Office), Business Awareness and Customer Focus.
Skills:Excellent interpersonal skills, Team building skills, Analytical and problem solving, Communications skills verbal and written, Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and MS Office programs, and email at a highly proficient level, Time management skills and Computer skills.
DUTIES :Capture and prepare payments, Prepare creditors reconciliations, Perform Administrative functions.
