MANAGER: RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
JOB LEVEL : D2 
SALARY RANGE : Total Annual Package (CTC) – R852,431.00 - R1,065,539.00 
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Eco Park, Centurion) 
POSITION STATUS : Permanent 
 
Purpose of the job 
To manage the Radio Communications Unit’s day-to-day operations effectively and efficiently and implement the ICASA Strategic Objectives at the Unit level. To effectively manage the licensing of radio frequency spectrum. 
 
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager: Spectrum Licensing and the responsibilities include: ● Allocates and manage resources needed for the day-to-day operations of the Radio Communications Unit ● Development of National frequency band plan, implementation, frequency assignments and authorisations ● Management of radio frequency spectrum ● Inputs to policy formulation and regulations ● Input to internal and external meetings pertaining to regulatory issues. 
 
Qualifications and Experience: ● BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (NQF L7) ● Honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Business Management (NQF L8) an added advantage ● Minimum 5 years Radio Frequency Planning Specialist Experience or, 3 – 5 years of Managerial Experience and 4 years Radio Frequency Planning Experience.
