FIXED TERM CONTRACT POSITIONS
 
JOB TITLE: RADIO FREQUENCY SPECIALIST x2
JOB LEVEL REMUNERATION: D1
: R550.00 hourly rate to a maximum of 50 hours per month (negotiable depending on relevant experience)
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office- Eco Park, Centurion) 
POSITION STATUS: Six (6) months contract
 
Purpose of the job
To provide maintenance and support on the Spektrum System during the transition period to the new Automated Spectrum Management System (ASMS).
 
 
Key Outputs: The successful candidates will report to the Senior Manager: Spectrum Management, and their responsibilities will include: ● Defining requirements to determine Spektrum system status (enhancement or standard reports) for billing purposes ● Programming to extract data as per user requirement ● Correcting or eliminating application errors discovered in the Spektrum system ● Liaising with Database Administrators at State Information Technology Agency on variations to the system(s) ● Setting up menus for running/extracting standard monthly reports menus setup ● Correcting the application to function according to existing business requirements ● Working on daily, weekly, monthly and year end batch jobs as required ● Communicating with users, Data Base Administrators and Network Technicians to determine cause of errors ● Data extraction and manipulation to user friendly format in accordance with requests ● Scheduling data transfer from month end and year end jobs.
 
 
Qualifications and Experience: ● Relevant Degree or Diploma (NQF L7/L6) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Information Technology or related qualification ● 5 years’ experience in Natural Adabas ● Extensive experience in maintaining and supporting mainframe computers ● Proven ability to manage the relationship and interface with SITA and/or systems hosted by SITA ● Understanding of the ICT sector ● Work experience on Spektrum Management including maintaining and supporting the Spektrum System would be an added advantage.
