RADIO FREQUENCY SPECIALIST (Eastern Cape Region)

SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) â R726,030.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Regional Office â Eastern Cape)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To manage and conduct monitoring of radio frequency spectrum for auditing, band occupancy determination and compliance with regulations including assistance with electromagnetic and radio frequency interference complaints.

Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager: Eastern Cape and their responsibilities will include: â Routine radio frequency spectrum monitoring â Assisting with regional and national monitoring projects
ââ Assisting with cross-border radio frequency spillage investigations â Assisting regional staff with monitoring and complex interference tasks â Providing expert advice on technical matters to internal and external clients â Supervising and monitoring of technical staff.
Qualifications and Experience â Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Communications Engineering â Registration with SAIEE and/or ECSA will be advantageous â More than 5 years working experience in radio frequency (RF) environment â Computer literacy and advanced level of proficiency in MS Office â Radio frequency (RF) interference investigation experience â Practical experience with electronic communications systems testing and monitoring/field measurement equipment â Leading and supervision of technical teams â Writing of detailed technical reports â Non-endorsed driver licence.
