JOB TITLE : MANAGER: NETWORK OPERATIONS 
JOB LEVEL : D2 
SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) – R828,877.00 
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office- Eco Park, Centurion) 
POSITION STATUS : Permanent 
 
 
Purpose of the job 
Responsible for the enterprise networking infrastructure management, support & control thereof as well as applicable standards & procedures. Responsible for the technology architecture and support services which IT provides for ICASA. Ensuring that IT Operations meets agreed Service Level Objectives and evolving new Business requirements. He/she has the responsibility of ensuring that the IT Infrastructure caters properly for the business requirements of the Master Systems Plan. 
 
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager :IT & Services and their responsibilities will include: ● Manage Technology Infrastructure and support services ● Manage System Administrators, IT helpdesk and IT technical staff ● Infrastructure Capacity planning ● Planning and management of Network Operations ● Manage IT Infrastructure Finances and Assets ● Provide robust IT and services ● Management of calls to Helpdesk ● Project Execution and Vendor Service Level Agreement (SLA) management ● Manage and minimize Risks.● Compile Request for Proposals (RFP) to invite tenders to find suitable service provider ● Provide monthly governance reports and regular reviews of IT Policies. 
 
 
Qualifications and Experience ● IT related degree, NQF Level 7 or Equivalent ● 7 years experience in managing an IT operations environment ● 7 years IT Technical Experience in a Microsoft environment ● 7 years working with disaster recovery initiatives ● 7 years working with disaster recovery initiatives ● 7 years IT Technical experience supporting a Linux and Microsoft-based systems, Exchange, CISCO networking, VMWare and Hyper -V Cluster ● 5 years Project Management experience ● 3 years managing 3rd party support/solution providers ● 7 years managing people.
