JOB TITLE: Helpdesk Administrator
JOB LEVEL: B3
SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) – R223,791.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office- Eco Park, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS: Permanent
Purpose of the job
The Helpdesk Administrator is responsible for logging/recording of technology related incidents and change control requests, to provide immediate telephonic support and assistance if possible, and to assign incidents to support personnel for resolution. The individual is responsible for escalation to higher level support personnel and service providers as per agreed service level agreements. He/she manages hardware repairs with vendors and suppliers. The helpdesk administrator work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through email, phone, in person (for walk-in customers) and self-service.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Network Operations Manager, and responsibilities will include: ● Resolve issues that are reported to the Helpdesk, 1st line support ● Log incidents on Helpdesk system and allocate to technicians for resolution ● Record IT Asset Inventory for new allocations, swops and loans ● Log calls to external Service Providers
● Record New User Creation Forms and Terminated User Forms ● Provide monthly and quarterly reports to Network Operations Manager ● Provide weekly report on categories of calls logged to Network Operations Manager ● Resolve issues that are reported to the Helpdesk, 2nd line support to clients if Desktop Technicians are not available.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Matric plus & IT Diploma/Degree (3 years) in Information Technology or equivalent qualification ● N+ ● A+ ● 2-3 years Helpdesk Administrator experience, particular System Centre Service Manager ● Microsoft Operating System XP/Windows 7/Windows 8 ● MS Office Suite ● MS Exchange 2010/2013 ● MS Active Directory ● MS Lync.
