JOB TITLE : Desktop Support Technician
JOB LEVEL : C2
SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) – R384,635.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office- Eco Park, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for Desktop Support to end users and optimization of desktops and printer support. This includes installing of software and hardware and troubleshooting problems and resolving them as per SLA.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Network Operations Manager and their responsibilities will include: ● End user support and optimization of desktop environment ● Reactive on-site assistance to internal clients ● Daily administration for client PCs and network printers ● Applications support on Desktops ● Support computer devices such as PDAs , computer peripherals and other devices that connect to the network or computer including cellular telephones ● Email client support ● Resolve issues that are reported to the Helpdesk , 2nd line support ● Provide feedback about customer needs ● Stand in for the Helpdesk Administrator when Helpdesk Administrator is unavailable ● Assist System Administrators on ad-hoc tasks ● IMAC (Installation, Moves, Additions, and Changes) of Hardware & Software.
Qualifications and Experience ● Matric plus National Diploma, or Degree (3 years) in Information Technology or equivalent qualification ● N+ ● A+ ● Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) ● 3-5 years Desktop Support experience ● Microsoft Operating System Windows 8/10 ● MS Active Directory ● MS Office Suite ● Office 365 ● Skype for Business ● 4-6 years working experience.
