ANALYST – COST MODELLING 
JOB LEVEL : C4 
SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) – R 548,983.00 
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office – Eco Park, Centurion) 
POSITION STATUS : Permanent 
 
 
Purpose of the job 
ï‚· To assist in developing cost models and regulatory financial accounting systems of regulated services in support of promoting competition and fair prices 
ï‚· To conduct research into the most effective cost/price control standards applicable to network industries 
ï‚· Provide economic interpretation and regulatory support, including the area of market reviews 
ï‚· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders involved in the public policy and regulatory process and maintain compliance in all regulatory aspects 
ï‚· To assist the Manager: Cost Modelling in developing a consistent regulatory agenda to promote competition and enhanced economic efficiency of the ICT Sector 
 
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Cost Modelling, and their responsibilities will include: ● Cost Modelling ● Operational Planning ● Departmental Management ● Financial/Accounting Interpretation ● Research and Analysis. 
 
 
Qualifications and Experience: â— 3-year degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting/Cost Accounting/Economics/Finance/Business Management or equivalent ● 4 – 6 years working experience of which 3 must be in research field ● Working knowledge of cost accounting principles and determination of cost of capital (WACC) ● Working knowledge of industry data collection and collation techniques ● Proven experience of developing and implementation of projects and processes ● Proven track record on conducting research and drafting research reports ● Proven analytical skills ● Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
