SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) â R 477,376.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office-Sandton)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
Analyse, review and monitor broadcasting licenseesâ compliance with the ICASA Act underlying statutes, licence terms and conditions and applicable regulations and prepare compliance reports.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Broadcasting Compliance and their responsibilities will include: â Carry out the monitoring of compliance by licensees with their licence conditions, regulations and underlying statutes â Preparing compliance reports on licensees and make recommendations to the Manager: Broadcasting Compliance â Providing regular feedback and liaise with licensees on compliance matters â Participating and conducting workshops on broadcasting compliance to licensees â Compiling and preparing information for CCC investigations and referrals in case of any contraventions or non-compliance with licence terms and conditions, regulations or underlying statutes â Attend CCC hearing âConducting monitoring visits to licensees â Participate in Council Committees â

Qualifications and Experience â Academic Degree/ 3 year Degree (NQF L7) in the following fields: Law, Commerce, Media Studies, Communication or Journalism â 3-6 years working experience â 2 - 3 yearsâ experience in a compliance environment â Excellent communication skills, report writing and planning skills â Knowledge of regulatory environment is essential â Ability to liaise with stakeholders at a senior level â Must have a Drivers Licence â Conversant in 3-4 languages.
