ACCOUNTANT: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
Paterson grade C4
Remuneration package: R570, 061 per annum (Cost to Council)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
B. Com in Accounting / Finance OR equivalent NQF L7 qualification in Accounting / Finance.
5 years financial supervisory experience.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of relevant legislation.
Understanding of IFRS.
Strong Financial Management skills
Computer Literacy (MS Office, and Outlook).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Ensure that the correct approved annual and other fees are uploaded timeously into the financial system.
Ensure Bulk billing of Annual fees are done timeously.
Ensure all restoration quotations are timeously compiled and reviewed.
Implement actions to recover outstanding accounts.
Ensure that irrecoverable debt is timeously communicated to the Chief Financial Officer.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Action and monitor all queries received on the Online portal, email and Call Centre and ensure that they are timeously resolved.
Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Line Manager with the audit facilitation, answering and resolving of Accounts Receivable audit queries and addressing of audit findings.
Ensure that staff leave is planned and approved taking into consideration peak financial periods.
Align Accounts Receivable sections performance agreements to the strategic objectives, key performance indicators and programs of the Finance and SCM department.
Assist with the updating of the finance risk register monthly for submission to the Chief Financial Officer for approval.
Review and approve monthly Accounts Receivable and the General ledger reconciliations.
Carry out any other function as may be delegated by the Line Manager/Head of Department.
