FINANCE DEPARTMENT 
1X ACCOUNTANT (CONTROLLER) 
(Job Id NO. 3/1/0/002) 
Salary: R515 462. 52 per annum (Job level 5) 
 
The job purpose of Accountant is to provide administration of capital and operational budgets, investment processes and reporting services.

Key performance areas: An Accountant must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for: Render investments services  Provide assistance with compilation of financial statement Render operation and capital budgeting processes Coordinate reporting activities Perform client service and public service function. 
 
Requirements:  National Diploma in Accounting/ Financial Management or relevant qualification B Com Degree in Accounting or Financial Management and MFMP certificate will be an added advantage. Knowledge of MSCOA, Caseware System and compilation of the Annual Financial Statements. Two (2) years’ relevant experience in budget and financial reporting.
