TECHNICAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
Division: Technical Services
Position: Grader Operator
Task Grade: Task Grade 8
Remuneration: R 167 628.00 — R 217 565.00 Per Annum (Plus Normal Council
Benefits)
Duration: Permanent
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 7 or Standard 5
• Driver's License — Code C1 (10) with PDP
• Valid Grader Operator Certificate
• At least two (2) years previous road grading experience
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Operates the grader in various applications including skimming, cutting through, mix, redistribution, spread and re-compacting of road crust, and /or adding new road fill material to obtain desired road shape and profile to assist in maintenance of road infrastructure
• Operates the grader machine safely, as per stipulated procedures and adheres to all required safety rules and regulations — thereby ensuring compliance and safety operation
• Responsible for safe handling and basic maintenance of the grader

 
 
BUDGET & TREASURY OFFICE
Division: Budget and Treasury Office
Position: 2 x Finance Management Interns
Remuneration: R100 074.00 per annum
Duration: Two (2) Year Fixed Term Contract
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 plus three (3) year Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma major in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management and Financial Information Systems.
• Good Communication, interpersonal and report — writing skills
• A valid Driving License will be an added advantage.
• Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 35
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Implementing General Accepted municipal practices and budget reforms
• Compiling financial statement reports.
• Capturing financial data and compiling statistical information and any other functions that may be assigned by the superior.
(NB: Preference will be given to successful applicants who reside within the Amathole Region)
