GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND (GEPF)
 


​With more than 1.2 million active members and around 480 000 pensioners and beneficiaries as well as assets worth more than R2.69 trillion, the Government Employees Pension Fund is a defined benefit fund that manages pensions and related benefits on behalf of government employees in South Africa. It is the largest pension fund in South Africa and Africa. The GEPF is currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified individual with the relevant experience to fill the role of a Brand Manager within the Stakeholder Management and Communications Department.
 
BRAND MANAGER
 
Create and lead GEPF’s brand and corporate identity communications initiatives that enhance the organisation’s reputation and image in line with the GEPF’s strategy. Responsible for the conceptualisation, planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of the GEPF’s brand to influence perceptions of targeted stakeholders. The role includes the management and oversight of all marketing and advertising service providers, platforms, channels, and products to enhance the GEPF’s reputation.
 
Qualifying requirements: 
• Honours degree in Social Sciences/Marketing/Communications/Media
• 8 years’ experience in brand, stakeholder or media management of which 5 years should be in a specialist/supervisory/management role.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, communications, and digital ecosystems
